The heat capacity equation given by,

Cp = 39.06 + 5.4 x 10-2 T - 3.039 x 10-5 T2 + 8.651 x 10-9 T3, where T is temperature.

The value of T is varies according to ramp input setting:

Setting 1: Ramp (slope = -4, start time = 10, initial output = T)

Setting 2: Ramp (slope = -2, start time = 0, initial output = T)

Find the Cp value for T =250, 500, 750, 1000 according to ramp input setting. Set simulation parameter equal to 700

Show your result using SCOPE block. Expected result in SCOPE is ‘time’ on the x-axis, while Cp value on y-axis. Compare all the T results in one SCOPE block

Answer the following question based on the graph you produced in Simulink:

i) What is Cp value for initial output T =500 at time =700s? (using setting

A power-law fluid having a density, of 1245 kg/m3 is flowing through L, 11.8 m of a tubing having an inside diameter, D of 0.0534 m at an average velocity, V of 0.066 m/s. Given that the friction factor is 14.98, calculate the pressure drop,p has given by the following relationship.

Study the effect V to Δp when the value of V is doubled until V = 1.056 m/s according to step input below. Set simulation parameter equal 650.

Setting 1: Step (step time = 270, Init. = V, Final = 15% decrease from V initial, sample time = 0)

Setting 2: Step (step time = 200, Init. = V, Final = 8% increase from V initial, sample time = 0)
