The Hill Bedroom -‐ The shelves on the desk are ideal for organizing books or for decora>on like holding picture frames. These are not provided, but can be homemade or bought from various businesses around Auburn.

The Hill Bedroom -‐ In this room the resident chose to posi>on her bed as a day bed, which could make more living space in the middle of the room and give more sea>ng in the day>me.

The Hill Bedroom -‐ Residents like to use seat covers or seat cushions to make the desk chairs more comfortable.

The Hill Bedroom -‐ Bunking beds allows for more space in the rooms on the Hill or in the Quad. The futon adds comfortable sea>ng or a place for visitors to sleep.

The Hill Bedroom -‐ Stacking the microwave and refrigerator is a good way to conserve space. This resident hung a line on her wall so that items could be clipped to it, allowing for decora>on that won’t damage the residence hall walls. A ribbon might be another cute op>on.

The Hill Bedroom Carpets and rugs can add more color to any room. Many stores carry rugs that would work. You might also try having a remnant bound to get the size you want. Using plas>c containers is an easy way to organize odds and ends.

The Quad Bedroom -‐ Curtains are easy ways to get color in your room. Blinds are provided, but you will need your own tension rod and rings to hold the curtain up.

The Village Bedroom -‐ Study buddy pillows are very popular for studying and hanging out. You can use them in your room or carry one down the hall to another room.

The Village Bedroom / Closet -‐ Shower curtains are ideal for covering your closet in the Village residence halls. The rooms in the Quad and on the Hill have doors, so curtains are not needed.

The Village Common Room -‐ In the Village common room there is enough space to add a chair, a television stand, a coffee table, and a side table or lamp stand to the furniture that is already provided.

The Village Bathroom -‐ No>ce the hutch that stores toiletries and towels in this bathroom. This is a good idea for any residence hall! Make sure you know what size and type your bathroom will accommodate before purchasing one.
