Title: Find Me When It’s TimeFinal adjudicators’ comments:
A charming poem. The rhyme scheme works here
because of the colloquial and natural tone of the address. Clear use of address – you.
Really witty development of a subtle theme. A strong poem.

38
What’s the problem with Entry 1?
Ans: Lack originality/plagiarism. This poem has been published. Student probably has just downloaded it from the internet and made slight amendment.
![Page 39: Briefing 7 October 20 11 3:30 p.m. – 5 :00 p.m. Gifted Education Section, EDB](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062807/5681515b550346895dbf7dc5/html5/thumbnails/39.jpg)
39
What’s the problem with Entry 2?
Ans: Originality. This poem is a mere reproduction of a classic fairy tale in a poetic form.
Remarks for Teachers:Teachers are advised to guide students to be more creative and to produce original entry, e.g. by changing the characters or the ending of the fairy tale.
![Page 40: Briefing 7 October 20 11 3:30 p.m. – 5 :00 p.m. Gifted Education Section, EDB](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062807/5681515b550346895dbf7dc5/html5/thumbnails/40.jpg)
40
• What are the problems with Entry 3?
• Ans:
Student’s name and class are shown on the entry.
This violates BPA’s rule: “All poems are judged anonymously and the name of the author must not appear on the manuscript/student entry form”.
![Page 41: Briefing 7 October 20 11 3:30 p.m. – 5 :00 p.m. Gifted Education Section, EDB](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062807/5681515b550346895dbf7dc5/html5/thumbnails/41.jpg)
