WELCOME! HERE ARE SOME THINGS TO EXPECT!
CHILDREN We have a well supervised nursery and children’s ministry that will allow your child to learn and grow. Our JAMTowne entrance is in the lobby next to the coffee bar. COMMUNION We believe that Jesus died on the cross for us as a sacrifice for our sins. Every Sunday, we pass around juice and wafer to remember the sacrifice that was made for us. We invite you to meditate on God’s love and grace during this time. OFFERING We give monetary gifts out of love for God to support the work He is doing through this church. If you are new to Towne South, we welcome you to express your gratitude, but do not feel pressured. DECISIONS At the end of the service today, an invitation will be extended to you if you need to make a decision about following Jesus for the first time, rededicating your life, want to join Towne South, or would like to pray with someone. BAPTISM Immersion in water symbolizes the death and burial of our old life without Jesus and the beginning of our new life as His follower. It is the moment when God’s grace unites with our faith providing forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit.

THIS WEEK’S ACTIVITIES
WE LOVE OUR VOLUNTEERS! THANK YOU FOR SERVING!
STUDENT MINISTRY
Towne South Students is all about groups!
Being in the right group is important! We want all our
6-12th grade students to be connected to our student
ministry; and one of the best ways to do that is to get
plugged into a Small Group! All of our groups meet on Sunday morning from
10-11 AM. Join a group today!
“BIGgroup” is our Wednesday evening programming for
middle and high school students. We start the evening
with a 5:30 PM meal ($3) and as promptly as the meal
ends, we begin Big Group. We play some interactive games, have a time of
worship, participate in an interactive and practical lesson from the Bible, and
enjoy time together!

DO YOU KNOW THE NAMES OF THE PEOPLE SITTING
AROUND YOU DURING SUNDAY SERVICES? Help us
build a tool that will put names with faces! Be a part of
our new family directory program – we need YOU to
make it complete! Each family will receive a
complimentary 8 x 10 photograph and a free directory
just for participating. We are partnering with Lifetouch
to update our church pictorial directory. A Lifetouch representative will be
available beginning TODAY to assist with photography session appointments for
your family. He will also be here on Sunday, February 17, Sunday, February 24
and Sunday, March 3. During weekdays following each of these signups, you will
be able to make an appointment online. Our photography sessions are
scheduled for Monday-Tuesday, March 4-5; Thursday-Saturday, March 7–9; and
Monday-Tuesday March 11-12. Weekday appointments will be available from
2:00 – 9:00 PM. The Saturday appointments will be from 10 AM to 5:00 PM.
Stop by the Lifetouch table in the lobby after services today to have all your
questions answered and make your appointment! Oh…and pets are welcome in
the pictures!
Today begins our kickoff for Albemarle Pregnancy
Resource Center and Clinic’s (APRCC) Baby Bottle
Boomerang! The APRCC exists to offer women
alternatives to abortion by modeling the love of Jesus
Christ through compassionate lay-counseling and the
resources to empower them to make life-affirming
decisions. This year, we are joining forces in making a
difference in the Kingdom of God by standing in the gap
for the unborn. The Baby Bottle Boomerang begins
TODAY and ends on Sunday, March 10. After services today, we will be
distributing baby bottles in the lobby. Please take one or two bottles per family.
Fill the bottles with coins, checks and cash and make a huge difference in the lives
of many infants and their parents. Please direct any questions you may have to
Tara Clark by emailing [email protected] or texting 252-207-6403. Watch
for additional details about this mission in our Mid-Week Update and Sunday
bulletin! All monies collected through the Baby Bottle Boomerang will help
Albemarle Pregnancy Resource Center and Clinic continue its life-saving work.
We are planning another old-fashion hymn sing
and social at Towne South for Sunday evening,
March 31. We want to make sure we include as
many of your favorites as possible; so, next
Sunday, February 24, we will distribute
nomination forms with your bulletin. Be thinking
of your top three favorite old-fashion hymns and be ready to make your
nominations! It will be a great time of worship and praise!
BABY DEDICATION IS MARCH 3RD!
Towne South has been blessed with a lot
of new babies this past year. Some
Christians parents like to participate in a
Baby Dedication Service. Since we have so
many new babies, I wondered if it might
be good to set a date and do them all at one time. A baby dedication is a
ceremony where Christian parents make a public declaration of their intent to
raise a child according to God's Word and God's ways. It’s making a promise to
the Lord and before the church congregation to raise the child to know the Lord.
It is also a way for parents to express to the congregation their desire to have the
church family encourage them, hold them accountable, and to pray for them as
they strive to raise the child to know the Lord. The baby dedication really consists
of the parents and child coming forward at the end of the worship service on
Sunday morning for a special time of prayer on March 3rd
. There is nothing the
parents will need to say. At that time each family will be presented with an infant
Bible that will serve as a special memoir of this special occasion and commitment.
If you are interested in participating, please sign up at The Hub or email Brad at
LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO SERVE?
Looking for an opportunity to serve here at Towne
South? Our Emergency Response Team is made up of
a Safety Team and a Medical Team. If you have any
experience in those areas and would like to join our
team, or if you have questions about the team, we encourage you to contact
Team Leader John Leary at [email protected].
Last Sunday, February 3, Jayden Figueroa accepted Jesus
as his Savior and was baptized following our second
service by his parents, Krystal and Carlos. Please pray
for Jayden and his family as he begins his new life as a
member of the body of Christ.
