Michigan weather changes with the seasons. The Ottawa tribe would have hot and humid summers and
chillier temperatures in the fall and spring. They would sometimes have rain. In the winter it would get colder and snow.
Ottawa women wore long dresses and a long braid. When it got colder they wore robes of rabbit skin.
Ottawa men wore only a cloak in cold weather and in battle. They wore leather headbands with feathers standing up in the back.
Both wore leather moccasins on their feet and painted their faces and arms for special occasions.
