Structures Involved The basic respiratory structures that help your body obtain oxygen are: Air ways, lungs, respiratory muscles. Trachea the trachea, is the tube that connects the larynx to the lungs and allows air passage. Not all vertebrates have Trachea, only non-fish. Lungs!
