WehaveaGEdewpointmeasurementequipmentinstalledontheoutletgaspipelineofourplant,Iwouldneedtohavemoreinformationaboutthewaysthatwecouldmakesurethatthereadingiscorrect.Idoappreciateyourconcernandadvice.

Doyouhavetheinstructionmanualforthedevice?

Arethereanyinstructionsinthemanualaboutverifyingcalibration/output?

Theseareusuallyverydifficulttocalibratewithoutalabsetupwhichcanflowairofaknownhumidityoverthesensor.

Ibelievethebestwayistosendthedevicetoapropercalibrationlab,unlessyoursitehasaverygoodinstrumentationshop/lab.

NotmuchyoucandotoverifytheiraccuracyinthefieldI'mafraid.Isuggestyoutaketheoriginaldatasheetsuppliedwiththeanalyzer/transmitterandseeifthereissomecalibrationconstantsthatyoucancheck.Consultthemanualsincetheymighthaveacalibrationvalidationprocedureinthere.ItwillbesomeconstantsvaluesyoucancheckonthedisplayorsomevoltagesyoucanmeasureonthePCB.

SomethingyoucancheckisthemAoutputsaccordingtothefactorycalibratedzeroandspanvalues.Ifitisdewpointyouhaveontheoutputitshouldhaveafacilityonthematrixofthetransmittertosimulatethe0to150degreesCorwhateveryourfactorycalibrationshouldbeaccordingtothedatasheet.Youcanthenmakeadjustmentsonthetransmitter'soutputtomakesurethecorrectZ/Sdewpointvalues(asperdatasheet)giveaaccurate4to20mAoutput.

Iknowthemanufacturercanalsosupplyyouwithvarioussaturatedsaltsolutionsthatyoucanuseinalaborw/shopenvironmenttoverifytheaccuracyofthetransmittersogetholdofthemandaskthemaboutthat.
