First Year Engineering
Dr.
Theodore Von Karmdn,
widely
recognized
as
the father
of modern
aerospace science, once wrote,
Scientists
study
the
world
as
it
is, engineers create the world that never has
been . lf
you
possess
an
innate
curiosity for how
things
work,
enjoy solving
problems,
and
want
to build things
that will
change
the
way
people
live, consider a career as an engineer.
The academic
road towards becoming
a
professional
engineer
starts at Capilano University. Specifically,
the
First
Year
Engineering
Program
at Capilano University
provides
students with a comprehensive first-year transfer
program
in
engineering. The
program
is
aimed
at
strong academic
high
school
graduates.
Since the
program
is
transferable,
the subsequent completion
of
the
Bachelor's degree
at the
receiving institution
generally
requires only
three additional
years
of
study.
