It is a strip of land connecting two continents.

They sewed animal skins together to make clothing for protection.
What is the Mesolithic Era?
• Mesolithic means Middle Stone Age.• This period began more that 10,000 y.a. and lasted to about 5,000
y.a.• How was this new era different from the Paleolithic Era (Old Stone
Age)?• People adapted to new environments (colder climates)• Tools were smaller and more complex like fishing hooks and bows
and arrows.
Summary
• Early people adapted to new environments with new kinds of clothing, shelter, and tools.
They developed new technology to improve their lives, such as canoes, pottery. They even had pets!!!
