Feast of the cherry flower 2014: the celebration of the arrival of spring in Extremadura.

This region known internationally by the cherry trees bloom and fruit, cherry, is celebrating thirty years

Of the Cherry Blossom Festival, moment in which more than one million and a half of cherry dress

white and allows us to enjoy unique landscapes.

In addition to this as unpredictable as beautiful phenomenon which gives us nature, we want to share

other things, letting the spring each year in this region.

The spring in the Valle del Jerte is the sound of water from their throats, colors of its landscapes and

flavors of its cuisine, traditions of their peoples.

We want to introduce a program of activities that goes beyond the Fiesta of national tourist interest,

cherry blossom, and we have called that "spring and cherry tree in flower in the el Jerte Valley".

A series of proposed calls to further supplement these spring attractions, a program of cultural events,

sports, proposals for active tourism and nature... and our holiday: ancestral festivities that will

immerse visitors hungry for new sensations in the form of feel and live the Spring Valley.

Spring in the Valley of Jerte, has three very special moments which in turn make up and argue this

program:

Awakening of the Valley (from March the 21st at March the 28th )

Cherry Blossom (from March the 28th to April the 12th )

Rain of petals (from April the 13th to May the 3rd )

The region and the tourism sector invite you to enjoy the "spring and cherry in flower in the Valley of the

jerte", because the most famous natural event in the country, the bloom of the cherry trees, this 2014 will

turn into a real tourist event.

The program, could not be otherwise, it will begin with the arrival of spring on March 21 and will

end on May 3, giving way to the collection of the cherry, these lands known as "La Cerecera".

Describe and condense in few sentences the natural events and cultural that occur with the arrival of

spring, and the cherry blossom in the Valle del Jerte, is not an easy task, no doubt must be lived in first

person, only thus means the feeling that each year causes in locals and visitors the awakening of our

regionby what we just invite them to see it, feel it and enjoy it.
