• The United States is the major destination at which Chinese students choose to study. The number of Chinese students studying in the United States has added up to nearly 0.2 million in 2012.

• Foreign Students Study in China • By the end of 2012, about 0.32 million oversea students from 200
countries and regions studied in China.
• U.S. President Barack Obama announced " 100,000 Strong Educational Exchange Initiatives"
• 24583 American students studied in China in 2012. Shanghai and Beijing has become the favorite Chinese cities US students choose to study.

• Potentials on Chinese overseas study market The total number of Chinese students studying abroad has reached
2.6447 million from 1978 to 2012. The total number of Chinese students studying abroad has amounted
to 0.39963millon by 2012. Of all the students, 25,100 are government financed and 0.3745 students are family financed.
The number of government financed students increased from 7,500 in 2006 to 16,000 in 2012.This number will be up to 18,000 in 2013.
