FOREWORD:
Earlier in 2014, I started sending out an email containing a paragraph or so to 15 of my friends, Clarksville's own CMA Prayerborne Eagles, as a reminder of the motorcycle event opportunities we were going to attend or support. There were always things being brought to my attention of things: rides, charities, and events that we didn't choose to go to or support because we didn't know about it. Next I wondered how many of these charity rides and events didn't get supported because others didn't know about them. As Iadded more and more events, and more and more people to the email, many of the “just under 100” email address didn't receive it because it was getting marked as spam and being rejected. Now it is reaching several hundred people thanks to the internet. My goalis to post everything I can that occurs in the Clarksville, TN area but I still don't get everything listed-especially if I don't find out about it until a few days before hand. Sometimes locations and times change due to conflicts, the weather, and I also make mistakes so before you take those vacation days, verify it yourself. There is also a lot of things that go on close by in Kentucky but I don't know about it. Drop me an email containing the information about your event I will try to put it on the list. Just tell me about it and/or send a flyer to [email protected] . I try my best to update weekly, (no promises as sometimes I get lazy).
You can also find the latest version online: http://www.willrodgers.info/linked/clarksville_bike_events.pdf
You can also see the interactive calendar online and print them for yourself at: http://willrodgers.info/ecommerce_012.htm
If you have a flyer and you are in the Clarksville, TN area, flyer's are posted in here for free. Yes-free of charge. If youare interested in advertising on this newsletter, contact WillRodgers at 931 257-3951 or email me [email protected]

DECEMBER LAUGH: A biker was roaring down a snow covered road on a motorcycle and had to pull over as his jacket ziper had broken and his jacket was flopping in the wind and offering no protection. He removed the jacket and put it on backwards then resumed his journey. He continued down the road but around the next bend, he hit some ice, lost control and wiped out. A nearby farmer came upon the accident and ran to call the police. They asked him, "Is the rider showing any signs of life?" "Well," the farmer explained, "He was until I turned his head around the right way!"
28
WINTER RIDER TIP: Riding in the snow.
Of course, you can decide never to ride when the ground is covered
with snow, but sometime,s you have no choice: you are riding home,
and it starts to snow.
So, what to do?
In principle, riding in fresh snow on motorcycle is possible, and is
even not very hard. Try to be gentle: don't brake for corners and open
the throttle once you are out of the corner, but try to ride corners
without changing anything on the state of the throttle, and without
using the brakes.
Do not enter turns by pushing your steer (countersteering-wise), but
be gentle, and make a turn by shifting your weight.
It's a different story when you ride over snow which has been driven
over by cars. Such snow has become slippery, very slippery.
The biggest danger in that situation is that a slippery road is less
dangerous for drivers of cars, with their four wheels, and often will
maintain a higher speed than what is safe for you on a motorcycle.

FINAL WORD:It's the end of the year. The weather has gotten cool and even though there are many days where you can still ride, events are slowing down for this year and everyone is spending the time inside planning next years events. Its been a fun year. When planning that event, remember when you are developing your flyer, to put the location including the city and state. I saw a flyer today that said the event was going to be on Main Street. Most people forget that the internet is world wide. I wondered how many Main Streets there are in the United States?
Anyway, plan your events, and don't forget to invite us. We love to ride, to have fun, and to met new people.
