As part of the Awareness Breakfast festivities,an educator from each school board was recognized
for their contributions to the success of students with learning disabilities.
Partnered with Cambrian College, LDAS hosted a one week Assistive Technology Camp.
14 students and their parents were introduced to software programs. AT equals Access To Learning.

Long time supporter, Gord Ewin and Laurentian student, Krissy Battistoni,featured the new LDAS Parent Brochure as part of October 2011 Awareness Month.
Henry Winkler, (AKA The Fonz) wowed a large Sudbury crowd of Parents, Students, Educators and community members on October 19th, 2009.
Winkler's’ struggles with his learning disability are profiled inhis children’s books, Hank Zipzer, The World’s Greatest Underachiever.
His inspiring message modeled his often utilized quote:“We all have greatness inside of us”.
