Now that we have arrived safe and sound in our respective homes I have
some time to write a few words of gratitude towards our magnificent host:
the most INCREDIBLE PAUL.
I think I am not exagerating to say that the program was a professional balance between work, leisure, education and
fun.
Each day there was a program full of unexpected events and a great variety
of activities and people hosted over different places, sometimes far apart.
Really a marvel of organisation!
Paul, you really deserve our greatest respect for organising all this!
From now on you certainly deserve the nick name "Paolo incredibilo" for ever!

Our big Comenius family in Eeklo
In Eeklo we had lots of CULTURE like the performances organised for us while touring the city. Before this project started I never had heard of a
place called "Eeklo" but now I know better:that cosy small town with its amazing Sint Vicentius on the place of a former monastery, its fine chapel part with
singing teachers, the flourishing cultural life, sport facilities and a night life for the young (and wild).

and…. they proved to pay attention to
sports as well.
Here we are skating

TEACHERS’ MEETING
The Turkish team and the Portuguese team introduced us their
prposals for the 5° and 6° issues of the magazine . The
coordinator gave suggestions about the organization of the last
meeting in Palermo.

Amazingly enough we also managed to involve all of our students too in the discussion within the
framework of a very busy and tight program.

A bit to my amazement our
students enjoyed and appreciated the
lessons too that morning.

the old and the new!
The visit to Gent:
The Castle to view the city from the top
The Post Event ReportThe Post Event Report
In the heart of our continent
We – as a group – are a miniature reflection of the
people of Europe
and……
In Brussels we found the
miniature of Europe
The Post Event ReportThe Post Event Report
We liked to rocket SKY HIGH into
the Atomium
after which we had a wonderful
view over Brussels
The Post Event ReportThe Post Event Report
But what would a visit to Brussels and to
Belgium be without tasting the delicious
and famous chocalates?
Or drinking one of the many special beers, such as here in this most famous Gent cafe “De Dulle Griet” where a 250 different types of beer can be
served

And then it comes the time to say good-byeI don't know how that is with you but I found the meeting very rewarding in
different respects.
Not only did we and our students experience many different cultural events but also in the sphere of personal experiences and interactions with other people we all
learned a great deal again.
May be it sounds a bit silly to speak of "personal growth" but I certainly see it that way. Although I cannot judge for you it certainly apllies for me.
And here, the final meal….. which was concluded with a wonderful “thank you, thank you, thank you….” and a singing and dancing together
the flower you gave us with the "farewell message" remind us of the
friendship of Eeklo.
