Data Analysis and Visualization with MS ExcelUsing MS Excel, we were able to take the information from our stock research and organize it in a very logical manner. Spreadsheets allow us to display data in charts and graphs, as well as apply equations to certain pieces of information to calculate things such as percent profit gained.

Making Information Available to the World

As we began our experience with CSE3, we were quickly able to display the work we created on the web. Simply using a table is an easy way to display multiple sets of data.

MS Word is a very functional program that allows you to edit text in just about any way possible. It is the automatic go-to for essays, brochures, and resumes.

In this lab we made a quick overview of furture careers and past work experience.

PowerPoint is a valuable program when in comes to presenting information in a very esthetically pleasing manner. In this lab, we looked at stock values on Google Finance and were able to display a comparison of prices and profit margins for a variety of companies.

Alice is a very basic yet powerful program for developing JavaScript applications. On the right we able to animate frogs jumping into a pond

On the left we were able to make a functional clock, utilizing functions to make the hands tick appropriately.

At the end of the quarter, we were finally able to combine everything we had learned in HTML and JavaScript to create a functional webpage that can interact with the user. In this lab we made a table that allows the user to select a different computer, CPU, and screen size, and then display the prices.
