Toast with egg & mushroom:

Having the same breakfast everyday can get boring ­ try something

different with these ideas!

Including high­protein   foods such as eggs, beans or yoghurt at

breakfast will help keepyou fuller for longer ­

meaning lesssnacking!

Gives you the energy you need to concentrate at work or

school and to perform daily activities

Helps to maintain body weight

Improves our mood and strengthens the immune system

Helps to meet our body's nutritional needs­ some people think

breakfast is the most important meal of the day!

Warmed wholegrain wrap filled with beans, mushroom and spinach ­  yum!

Poach or scramble eggs, add to toast with sliced mushroom and mashed avocado

Make your own muesli

Blend 1 banana with 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 cup yoghurt

Choose a breakfast cereal which is low in sugar and high in fibre. Serve with

fresh or tinned fruit and low fat milk or yoghurt.

Add 1 cup rolled oats, 1 cup processed bran, 1/2 cup seed/nut mix and 1/2 cup

dried fruit ­ this makes enough for 3­4 serves! 

Cook porridge according to packet instructions, then add your favourite fruit and

a small handful of nuts.
