Abstract

In current scenario do the international corporations hold some responsibility towards society

and need to work towards common good and promoting human benefits? This report tries to

analyse the varied aspects of the social responsibility that have emerged over the time from

the very start till date. It also analyses the manner in which the international enterprises are

following CSR towards real time social development by quoting examples of bug firms like

Wal-Mart, BP, Starbucks etc. Is CSR really a sustainable part of corporate agenda or they are

just using it as a fashion to create a CSR-image in the society? These aspects of CSR adopted

by businesses in globalized economy have been analysed from the “beyond the profit motive”

aspect as well.
