The provisions of t h i s minute w i l l not become e f f e c t i v e u n t i l accepted by appropriate resolutions passed by the governing bodies of the City of Silsbee and the County of Hardin.
In Harris County, an increased appropriation of $813.00 i s hereby made f o r the completion of the grade separation project WPGM 851-A, Control 900-9-1. This overrun i s caused by an under estimate of r a i l road force account work involv ing the construction of a temporary f a l s e work t r e s t l e and the necessary adjustment of t racks .

In Nueces County, a l l bids received April 25, 1939 for construction of flexible base (shoulders) (regular bid providing shell with a l ternates providing caliche, gravel and stone) Limits: Fr. junc. Hwy. 16 & 96 spur to a point 3.7 miles West; and from 2.5 Mi. E. of Robstown to junc. Hwy. 16 & E. Spur Highway 44 in Robstown; and from 7.3 miles west of Corpus Christi to 0.971 Mi. West, a distance of 7.259 miles, on State Highways Hos. 16 & 9, Control 74, 102 Section 6, 1 & 2 Job 9, 6&5 are hereby rejected and plans are to be revised and the project is to be readvertised at a later date.
I t is ordered by the Commission that an appropriation in the amount of $3,000.00 be made to cover the cost of constructing a standard 30' x 75' Section Warehouse at Mineral Wells, Palo Pinto County, Texas.

IT IS ORDERED BY THE COMMISSION that Maintenance Project No. M-4-2-8 on US Highway 80 in Ward County be cancelled and these funds be transferred to Maintenance Project No. M-3-5-8 on US Highway 80 in Reeve County.
I t is ordered hy the Commission that an appropriation in the amount of $5,184.18 be made to cover the cost of shoulder stabilization from Ti v o l i , in Refugio County, to a point 1.136 miles south. This work is to be done by contract method. (State Highway No. 35.)

This settlement is in accord with and follows the recommendation of the Attorney General of Texas.

WHEREAS, Edward Mi l ton Tomsu, who has been employed i n the/Dist r i c t since July 27, 1938, and who has heen employed on a monthly basis since November 1, 1938, as a Checker, was b i t t e n by a spider or some poisonous insect while on duty on the Oklaunion-Davidson Bridge, and upojj being released from a 20-day confinement i n the hospi ta l as a r e su l t of t h i s accident, resumed work on March 20th, but was again taken to the hosp i ta l on March 25th as a resul t of an i l l ne s s i n a l l p robab i l i t y due i n a measure to the previous accident; and
WHEREAS, compensation was provided thru the Insurance Divis ion f o r the f i r s t period of confinement and the attending physicians were unable to d e f i n i t e l y a t t r ibu te the second confinement to the accident, but f e e l that in a l l p robab i l i t y i t was more or less a t t r ibu tab le to the spider or insect b i t e ;
