Technical elements of trailersTechnical elements or features that are typical of trailers include:- The cast- Montage editing- The release date- The production company name- Classification- Any awards that the movie has received
Also on the trailer there is an indication into what audience member the film is suitable for. For example a ‘U’ certificate would suggest that the movie is universal or suitable for all, and a ‘PG’ requires parental guidance.

Different types of trailersThere are a number of different types of trailers such as a main trailer, teaser trailer, television spot trailer and theatrical trailer. A main trailer is commonly released in advance of the official release date, and lasts for around two to three minutes long. Whereas a teaser trailer is significantly shorter at around one minute long, and TV spots are even shorter at only a matter of seconds as television advertising is fairly expensive.
During my coursework I will focus on producing a teaser trailer for my main task.
