PATIENT CARE:
Dates Type Description Role
06/2016-Present Outpatient Severe Asthma Program Medical Director
The severe asthma program was created to treat a special population of patients with
difficult-to-control disease. The program focuses on the diagnosis of severe asthma and its
mimickers, environmental control, management of comorbidities, asthma education and
advanced therapies. State-of-the-art treatments, such as biologicals (i.e. omalizumab,
mepolizumab) and bronchial thermoplasty, are available for these patients. The program
includes a weekly/biweekly outpatient Severe Asthma Clinic working closely with the
University Hospital Infusion Center, Endoscopy Center, and Respiratory Care Department
06/2012-06/2015 Outpatient RBG Pulmonary Clinic Medical Director
Development of an attending-led outpatient practice in the RBG downtown campus to
optimize care of this indigent population. This resulted in a practice with more than 3,500
encounters over the past 5 years.
