PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
I have a thorough knowledge and extensive experience in molecular, biochemical and
pharmacology with special emphasis on preclinical studies including behavioral,
neuropharmacological, nephrological, endocrinological study. This knowledge and experience
have eventuated from extensive undergraduate and post-graduate training in pharmaceutical and
health science disciplines. I have lecturing and curriculum development experience, which covers
7 years across national and international Universities. My teaching experience includes the
preparation, reviewing and delivery of lectures, tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations,
Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Computer-Aided Learning (CAL) sessions, workshops and
seminars for different modules of pharmacy, biomedical and health sciences programs. I am
familiar with the use and application of e-learning and blended learning within higher education.
My research experience includes close to 7 years laboratory based experience that covers both
postgraduate studies and independent research activities during my lecturing tenure(s). I
researched in three complementary areas; phytopharmacology, neuropharmacology and cancer
biology as evidenced by extensive research and publication record of high quality in the field of
pharmacology. I have attracted a cumulative research funding of RM 20,500 during my teaching
tenure at the International Medical University (IMU), Malaysia. My aim is to have the opportunity to
work in a progressive academic institution and laboratory that offers potentials for my personal
and career development as an independent researcher and simultaneously be able to impart my
knowledge and skills learned throughout my education to the younger generation.
