injury, or illness of the animals, owners, drivers, employees, attendants, spectators, or any other person or property in connection with The Great Frederick Fair Draft Horse and Mule Show.
4. Rules of courtesy must be obeyed at all times. Any act of discourtesy to judges or show officials on the part of owner, exhibitor or groomer will disqualify that entry and all entry fees and premiums will be forfeited.
5. Animals not in show condition or showing any lameness will be disqualified. All vehicles and harness must be in safe, useable condition.
6. Any owner, exhibitor or groomer mistreating an animal will be barred from the show and all entry fees and premiums forfeited.
7. Judges' decisions are final.8. Dogs are not permitted on the grounds.9. All horses and mules six months or older must have proof of negative Coggins test within
12 months of the show date (ie- dated after September 16, 2018). Copy MUST accompany entry form.

10. All animals exhibited in Section 1–22 must be registered with the appropriate breed association. You MUST send a copy of the registration papers with your entries, including Drum Horse Geldings with breed associations.
11. Youth ages are determined by their age as of January 1, 2019.12. Youth exhibitors 18 years or older, as of January 1 of current year, may waive youth status and show
as adults in hitch classes, but are not eligible for youth classes.13. Youth driving in classes 98, 99, 106 & 107 must be accompanied by an experienced adult driver.14. Youth MAY NOT show, ride or drive Stallions. Exception: 2019 Stallion Foals and Mare & Foal classes.15. Youth must wear riding helmets in Under Saddle class.16. Any stallion not being shown under control will be excused from the ring and will have to be
housed on the trailer or removed from the fairgrounds.17. Entries close August 15. No late entries will be accepted.18. All use of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. Anyone found using these substances before,
during, or after the show will forfeit all premiums and will be removed from the fairgrounds.19. All premium checks will be mailed to exhibitors.
Dress Codes: The dress codes apply to all Draft Horse and Mule exhibitors, includes driver and show ring assistants to the exhibitor.
Halter classes: Dress slacks, shirt or blouse, tie and hat optional. No blue, faded or torn jeans. No T-shirts.
Hitch classes: Gentlemen – dress slacks, coat, tie, dress hat and proper footwear are mandatory. NO blue, faded or torn jeans. Ladies – Long dress or formal, long skirt with blouse, dress pantsuits and proper footwear. No blue, faded or torn jeans.
Judged at a walk and trot both ways of the ring. Judged on manners, suitability, condition and performance of driver.

Rules:1. There will be two (2) classes: Lightweight (under 3,325 lbs.), Heavyweight (3,326 lbs. and
up).
2. Teams will be weighed at the fairgrounds, Building 18 between 3–4:30 p.m.
3. Bring Coggins papers for each horse. Coggins test must be done within 12 months of the contest. (ie., dated after September 13, 2018)
4. National and Maryland State Horse Pulling Rules will be observed and enforced.
5. The contest begins at 5 p.m. with the Lightweight Class.
6. A $10.00 entry fee per team will be collected at the scales.
7. Prizes for each class: 1st - $375.00, 2nd - $325.00, 3rd - $275.00, 4th- $225.00, 5th - $200.00, 6th - $175.00, 7th - $150.00, 8th - $125.00, 9th - $105.00, 10th - $90.00, all others - $75.00

Rules:1. Model horse show open to public youth 17 years and under.2. Two rings will run concurrently.3. One entry form per exhibitor, pre-entries are encouraged. 4. Open to Breyer and Peter Stone models. No plush or stuffed animals. 5. Performance entries must fit into a 2'x3' foot table space.6. Exhibitors in performance and scenery display classes are to provide any props necessary. Each
exhibitor will be allowed a 2'x2' foot area in which to set up their individual display for judging.7. Limit two models per class per exhibitor. Each model can be shown only once.8. Halter horses can be in any pose.9. Models must have a hangtag (no tape) with the exhibitors number affixed to one of the horses legs.10. Halter horses are permitted, but not required to have a halter.11. Proper attire (Western or English) is required in all performance classes.12. Horses are not to wear any type of blanket, leg wraps, or other equipement in halter classes.
All models are to be out of their boxes. Questions regarding which classes are eligible should be directed to the judge or show official before the show begins
13. Exhibitors must remain in the show arena during this event or until their classes are complete.14. Each exhibitor is responsible for the setting up and display of their own models.Only the exhibitor who
is showing in a particular class will be allowed to enter the judging area. After placing their horses in the show ring they must exit the area until the class is complete. Following the class placement by the judge, exhibitors will be allowed to re-enter the judging area to pick up their horses.
15. Picking up or touching of other exhibitor's models or displays is strictly prohibited.16. There is to be no running or rough housing in the exhibit area or near any of the horses (live or model).17. The organizers reserve the right to make minor changes to the class list based on the number of entries.18. RETURNING THIS YEAR! Breyer Horse Swap/Trade Event. Bring models you are interested in
selling or trading.19. The Great Frederick Fair will not be held responsible for lost, stolen or damaged models
