Critical: The threat rane for a critical hit. f the threat is confirmed, a +eapon deals double damae on a critical hit $roll damae t+ice, as if hittin the taret t+o times*.

slashin $a +hip*. 'ome creatures or characters ma- be resistant or immune to some forms of damae.
Range Increment:&n- attac at less than this distance is not penali2ed for rane. o+ever, each full rane increment causes a cumulative 34 penalt- on the attac roll.
)aned +eapons have a ma/imum rane of ten rane increments, e/cept for thro+n +eapons, +hich have a ma/imum rane of five rane increments.
Rate of Fire:'ome raned +eapons have a rate of fire of 1, +hich simpl- means the- can be emplo-ed once per round and then must be reloaded or replaced. 5irearms,
+hich operate throuh man- different forms of internal mechanisms, have var-in rates of fire. The three possible rates of fire for handuns, lonarms, and heav-
+eapons are sinle shot, semiautomatic, and automatic.Single Shot:& +eapon +ith the sinle shot rate of fire re6uires the user to manuall- operate the action $the mechanism that feeds and cocs the +eapon* bet+een each
shot. !ump shotuns and bolt7action rifles are e/amples of firearms +ith sinle shot rates of fire. & +eapon +ith the sinle shot rate of fire can fire onl- one shot per
attac, even if the user has a feat or other abilit- that normall- allo+ more than one shot per attac.
Semiautomatic (S):"ost firearms have the semiautomatic rate of fire. These firearms feed and coc themselves +ith each shot. & semiautomatic +eapon fires one shot
per attac $effectivel- actin as a sinle shot +eapon*, but some feats allo+ characters armed +ith semiautomatic +eapons to fire shots in rapid successions, ettin in
more than one shot per attac.
Automatic (A):&utomatic +eapons fire a burst or stream of shots +ith a sinle s6uee2e of the trier. Onl- +eapons +ith the automatic rate of fire can be set on autofire
or be used +ith feats that tae advantae of automatic fire.
Magazine:The +eapon8s maa2ine capacit- and t-pe are iven in this column. The amount of ammunition a +eapon carries, and hence ho+ man- shots it can fire before
