Treatment Plants
Dayliff WWP Waste Water Plants are specially designed to treat organic waste water sources to acceptable open discharge quality. They breakdown organic wastes including, sewage and light paper whilst reducing associated odours and insects. The five stage treatment process works on the extended aeration Biodigester principal with accelerated organic decomposition through aeration followed by filtration and chlorination.
Plant chambers are constructed from reinforced masonry either by the client with Davis & Shirtliff supplying the chambers design and a complete package of all necessary equipment and fittings or alternatively as a complete turnkey project. Preferably they are installed in-ground to minimize visual impact, though an above ground option is available. The treatment process is as follows:-
l Stage 1 - Waste water is collected in a Stabilisation Chamber where specially bred bacteria are introduced to begin the biodigestion process.
l Stage 2 - The water passes into the Aerated Bioreactor into which air is pumped to accelerate the bacterial action that degrades the solids into a clear effluent and a non toxic sludge.
l Stage 3 - Aerated water flows into a Sedimentation/Recirculation Chamber where the sludge settles and is then re-circulated back to the Stabilisation Chamber for further processing.
l Stage 4 - Clarified water is collected in a Clarification Chamber from which it is pumped through a mixed bed sand/activated carbon filter to remove remaining particles and odour.
l Stage 5 - The treated water is Chlorinated to neutralise any remaining bacteria and is then suitable for open discharge.
Dayliff WWP Waste Water Plants use proven effective technology and due to their simple design are reliable, efficient and easy to operate. Six sizes are offered as standard, though the plants can be up scaled to provide sizes suitable for site requirements.
