Dear Friends,
At SNC, we expect everyone is journeying with someone as we pursue Christ together. In this catalog, you will find a listing and relevant information for each Connect Group opportunity we are offering this quarter. Thank you for taking time to prayerfully consider which group God will have you partner with for the next three months. Should you have any questions or need more information, contact me and I will be glad to help you find what you’re searching for.

9:30AM GROUPS:
SUNDAY MORNING CONNECT GROUPS
Early Risers, Room 312, 8:15 AM
The "Early Risers" class, open to all ages, offers an alternative time slot to those accustomed to an early morning regimen. The Early Risers class
balances lecture & class discussion to develop an in-depth understanding of the scriptures, by looking at them, one book at a time. This quarter we are
studying from the Faith Lessons Series, by Ray Vanderlaan, “That the World May Know.”
18/29 Couples, Room 317, Chris Bean
Come join us for a fun and exciting Connect Group designed specifically for young couples. Whether you’re thinking engagement, already engaged, or
recently married...this is a great opportunity to explore Scripture alongside other books and resources in order to pursue Christ-centered relationships
together. Pastor Chris & Debbie Bean will be the main facilitators for this
group but other couples in the church will occasionally connect and share as well. This quarter we are continuing our discussion of “Real Relationships” by
Dr. Les & Leslie Parrott.
L.A.F. (Life Application & Fellowship), Room 205, Dovie Hudson Do you feel younger than your age? This is a group of older adults who love
to study the Word. They also get together outside of Sunday morning for fellowship & fun.
Kingdom Builders, Room 303-305, Greg Pritts
This class serves older adults who have served Christ for years. Their testimony reflects God’s character & witness of Christian holiness. Class
sessions begin with worship hymns & special music followed by stimulating
discussions and valuable insights centered around Bible studies that are presented through the Nazarene Quarterly curriculum. This quarter we will
be studying spiritual disciplines and their relationship with religion.
Families & Friends in Faith, Room 314, Roger & Lisa Hutson We are a Bible-based class, with members who are not perfect, just forgiven.
We don’t take ourselves too seriously but we take getting in the heart of The Word very seriously. This is achieved not by sermon-style teaching but by a
very participatory format. We strive to be more like Jesus through fellowship
and mentoring each other. This is a great place to come and share in God’s Word along with a group to share in life’s experiences. We develop more
than just friendship...we become family through Christ. Join us as we explore some of the “overlooked” books of the Bible.
Discovery, Room 313, Garry Clawson
We are revealing and discovering God’s Word through Bible-based doctrine, fellowship, open discussion and multimedia resources. We are all surviving
life’s challenges, enjoying the blessings and growing together through the study of God’s Word. All are welcome. We will continue a Beth Moore study on the
book of Revelation, “Here and Now, There and Then”, this winter.
Walking in Faith, Room 307, Ron Westerman This class consists of a group of adults, mostly 40+, both single and married.
Many topical studies are video-based from authors such as John Ortberg, Bill
Hybels, Andy Stanley, etc. The studies will lead to interactive discussions. The primary focus of the group is to bring ourselves and others on a closer walk
with the Lord.
Household of Faith, Room 306, David Ralph The Bible is our only guide. We select a book to study and go verse by verse to
understand God’s Word. Following an opening session of fellowship to give the choir and orchestra members time to get to class, we study His message
seeking to understand why it was written, who it was written for, and how we
apply that Scripture to our lives. One can participate in the lively discussion or just sit back and listen to others. Household of Faith is a class for all ages and
backgrounds. Our class ranges in age from the late 30’s to the late 60’s. Whether you are a mature believer or new in your journey with Christ, we invite
you to stop by and check us out.
Lifebuilders, Conference Room, Beryl Harlow This is a class of middle age and older adults where Bible study results in
worshiping Christ and sharing His unconditional love. If you are an adult
looking for meaningful relationships in a caring & warm atmosphere of love, you’ll feel at home with this great group.
Merge, Room 205, Chris Bean
Merge is a college & young adult group. This is a time to follow up on the sanctuary teaching and to discuss ways to apply God’s Word to our lives. Some
time will be spent developing community through prayer, mingling, studying together, etc. We will also be discussing the book, Celebration of Discipline, by
Richard Foster. An underlying theme for this group will be merging faith with
all of life and merging into full adulthood.
New Life, Room 303-305, Jeremy Bowden
New Life is mix of young to middle aged adults, single or married, that is
motivated by true community & Biblical learning. We are eager to engage one another in conversation and encourage one another along their journey with
Jesus. This winter we will continue on a path to discover our calling for discipleship through Francis Chan’s book, Multiply: Disciples Making Disciples.
Please come join us for this journey.
11:00AM GROUPS:

For Ladies Only, Room 310, Carol Webster
This is a warm, supportive fellowship & Bible study for adult women, married
& single, who attend Sunday School alone. This fellowship offers a special opportunity for women who hunger for a deeper, more victorious walk with
God!

community through the study of God’s Word, honest and intentional fellowship, and service to others.
Forum Class, Room 312, Ron Scott

questions that prompt discussion. This class also regularly meets socially in
each other’s homes or other outings.
Purpose Living, Room 311, Hollie Sharpe
Our group represents a diverse age range of couples and singles who are
focused on studying the Bible. We are an open group and new folks are always welcome. We are studying the book of Hebrews this quarter. Each
week we dig into insights of this book as members of our group facilitate the discussion.
Connected, Room 304, Dennis Dalton & Gretchen Pendergraft
We are a multi-generational, fun & interactive group that not only studies the Word together, but wants to build Christian relationships with one
another by meeting once a week for our Connect Group and sharing in the
journey outside the classroom. This quarter we are studying from the book, Not a Fan, by Kyle Idleman, and exploring what it means to be a
“Completely.Committed.Follower. Of Jesus.”
Grow & Tell, Room 306, Chuck Keller We are middle-aged single and married adults studying various books of the
Bible via the Nazarene Publishing House curriculum. Grow & Tell is known for being warm, caring and accepting of others into our fellowship. We enjoy
laughing, learning and praying for each other. This quarter we will study
spiritual disciplines and their relationship with religion.
11:00AM GROUPS (continued):
Building Life Together, Room 316, Dick & Linda Probst
A class for singles or married adults, primarily in their 40’s to 60’s. Using an open discussion format, we engage in in-depth study of God’s Word. Our
desire is to grow in Christ and develop a strong group fellowship as we participate in social activities and service opportunities. We will study the
book of Acts this quarter.
Turning Point, Fireside Room, Andy & Amber Braisted Turning Point is a class committed to helping young adults navigate through
the many issues we face while going through this crazy thing we call “life.”
Whether it be starting your career, strengthening your marriage, building your family or simply getting through another busy day, our goal is to help
one another make God-centered choices at each ‘turning point’ in life. We hope these choices will give our generation the foundation necessary to be
leaders in the church by strengthening our relationships with one another and most importantly, strengthening each individual’s personal relationship
with the Lord.
Cornerstone, Room 314, Mark Larson
A family of families, with toddlers to teens, meeting together to share each other’s concerns and joys, praises and prayer requests while growing
through studies in God’s Word, and a variety of great curriculum, to equip us to reach others. This quarter we will study The Cycle of Victorious Living, by
Dr. Earl Lee. This study combines DVD instruction and group conversation as we explore the freedom we have in Christ.
