CEO’s Message

Engineering education plays a vital role in the

economic development and brings about

transformation in any society. Looking at the nation’s

need of quality technical workforce, in the year 2001,

Thakur College of Engineering & Technology (TCET)

was established with a clear objective to provide

quality technical education to aspiring students.

To ensure quality, TCET provides right academic

ambience with motivated team of teachers and state-

of-the-art-infrastructure. Quality education is also

ensured through stringent quality measures like ISO,

NBA accreditation, etc. Frequent industry institute

interactions are encouraged through symposia,

seminars and workshops. All these efforts result

in building of career as well as character of every

individual who becomes a part of TCET.

To celebrate the graduation day at the same campus

is a nice initiative taken by University of Mumbai.

Culmination of educational journey of students is

witnessed in Degree Certificate Distribution Ceremony

which is the upshot of hard work put in by students,

teachers and the timely support by all the stakeholders.

Chasing a dream requires efforts and passion. Hard

work doesn’t end with completion of graduation. It’s

just a break as you enter the new battlefields of life.

This year too, TCET proudly holds its Third Degree

Certificate Distribution Ceremony on February 18,

2017 at our campus.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate and

wish all the young graduates a bright future!

Message from our Distinguished Guest

Passing out of College is an important milestone

in a person’s life. Till today you were a student

of this great Institution. From tomorrow you become

its Alumini. The world has changed enormously since

the time I passed out of College. Microsoft, Google

and Apple have brought in a Technological revolution,

which could not have been imagined 25 years ago. I will

repeat what Steve Jobs said to students of Stanfort

University in his Graduation Address. “Your time is

limited. So don’t waste it living someone else’s life.

Have the courage to follow your heart and institution.

They somehow already know what you truly want to

become”.

Message from our Distinguished Guest

The day you receive your degree is a milestone

day in your life. The day when you realize that

your efforts for the past years have now culminated

into what you now hold in your hands, the certificate

that is the foundation you need. Your perseverance,

hard work, focus, determination and resilience have

now paid off. Your teachers, staff and everyone at the

university watch you receive your degree and feel a

sense of pride, for your achievement.

That, in a way, is what education is about. When you graduate, remember that what you learnt is for you to share and not to keep.

As you step into the world into the most uncertain, thrilling and exciting period of your lives, remember to write and create your own stories. As you step down after receiving your degree, you step into a life, a life where there is no straight path to where you are going, a path that you need to create by following your heart and intuition. The education you have received will guide you, and your teachers will be there for you, as you remember the words of wisdom you learnt.

While I congratulate you for your milestone, I also congratulate the university, the staff, and especially your teachers, who have spent their time and effort in guiding, moulding and tirelessly engaging with you to help you make it to the finish line, and now, it is up to you to start a new race, a race that only you can define, run and win, in your own unique way.

Celebrate your success, enjoy the moment, and wake up tomorrow to a big and spectacular world, that is your own.

Congratulations!

Message from our Distinguished Guest

My first congratulation goes to the Management

team for continuously working to produce

competent and intelligent technocrats who will

go ahead and create machineries and technology

that will make unimaginable life possible for human

beings. I feel so happy to realize that Thakur College

of Engineering and Technology (TCET) has not only

created successful scholars but also good and smart

human beings who will go ahead and match up to the

challenging expectations of the whole world.

Amidst this whole celebration, it is also important

to remember that the Convocation ceremony is just

the beginning of a completely new and challenging

chapter that all the graduates will begin to experience

soon. I am so hopeful to see them contributing for the

betterment of the world and bring proud moments for

not only TCET but also for the whole nation in future.

I would spedificially like to appeal to these graduates

to continue to inspire their junior fellows who are

presently learning in TCET. The graduates now also

have one more responsibility, that is, to address these

young students and create a spark in them. They can

work and continue to inspire the students as their role

models because they have chosen the same path and

will definitely need the guidance and support in different

ways. I would like to send my best wishes to all the

graduates who are passing out today and appeal to

TCET to keep producing such creative scholars, which

the whole world is in need now.

The Thakur College of Engineering & Technology (TCET)

was established in academic year 2001-02 with a

clear objective of providing quality technical education

in tune with international standards and contemporary

global requirements. The College is recognized (AICTE)

& Govt. of Maharashtra and is affiliated to the University

of Mumbai (UOM). All the courses at the U. G. level,

eligible for accreditation in 2011 i.e. Electronics &

Telecommunication (EXTC), Information Technology, IT

and Computer Engineering (CMPN) were accredited by

NBA for three years w.e.f. 16.9.2011. Moreover, these

programmes are also given permanent affiliation w.e.f.

A.Y. 2015-16 onwards.

The Institute applied for 2nd time accreditation for its

UG Programmes i.e. EXTC, IT and CMPN, and 1st time

accreditation of Electronics Engineering (ETRX) as it

became eligible after three batches passed out in 2015.

All programmes were accredited for 2 years w.e.f.

01-07-2016. Institute will be applying for permanent

affiliation of ETRX programme.

TCET is a private self financed linguistic. (Hindi speaking)

minority institute since is inception.

Vote of Thanks

First and foremost, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Chairman, Trustees and CEO of

Thakur Educational Group for their constant encouragement and continued valuable support in organizing

the Third Degree Certificate Distribution Ceremony for the A.Y. 2015-16 graduates at our campus.

I thank the University of Mumbai for providing the opportunity to organize such an event.

I take this opportunity to thank all the distinguished guests who have taken time out of their busy schedule

and guiding the graduating students with inspiring words.

Organizing any event is a Herculean task which cannot be accomplished without the support of a strong and

motivated team of dedicated staff. I feel a deep sense of honor and privilege to express my gratitude to the

teaching, non-teaching and the support staff for their involvement and willingness to take on completion of

tasks beyond their comfort zones.

I am thankful to all the students and parents who have attended this ceremony and made it a grand success.

Lastly, I am indebted to those who directly or indirectly encouraged and supported us to make our second

Degree Certificate Distribution Ceremony a memorable one.
