1. Introduction
• A Census of Population and Housing is usually carried out once in every 10 years; Last one was in 2001 after a lapse of 20 years; confined to 18 out of 25 districts.
• CPH 2011 will be the 14th Census and will cover the entire country (all districts including Northern and Eastern Provinces) after 30 years.

2. Stages of CPH 2011
• CPH 2011 will be conducted in three main stages
– Mapping Operation (almost finished)– Listing of buildings (will be in 1st Quarter 2011)– Census enumeration (will be in 2nd Quarter 2011)

4.2 Main requests of the Data users
• Additional data requirements, which has to be discussed with the questionnaire designing committee.
• Tabulations upto smallest administrative area.(GN level)
• Tabulations for urban, rural and estate sectors.• Facility to obtain interactive tables.

5. Data Dissemination• Expected to disseminate census data through press
briefings, publications, CD’s and through the web.• Disseminate in stages based on - Commissioner’s summary reports - Enumerator Summaries - 5% sample data - Final processing of data• Includes bulletins, preliminary reports, district and
general reports, thematic reports, research reports.
