» DEVELOPMENT OF
YOURCHILD
•All childeren follow the same developmental pattern & sequence .
•No two childeren , even twins develop the same way .
•
•Every child starts holding neck
•and then turning over ,•and then creeping ,•and then crawling ,•and then sitting up ,•and then standing up ,•and then starts walking
same sequence for all ; everywhere.
•Don’t compare your child with
neighbours’.•Always compare with
his previous development.
•.
•Some children show fast development while
some are slow .• Baby’s nature , family
pattern & environmental
stimulation are deciding factors.
•When baby starts doing new things he forgets the previous milestone .
•eg. Child doesn’t prefer to stay on back when he knows how to turn
over on tummy .
• There are some lulls & some spurts in the
development .• Developmental
achievements don’t occur at a steady speed.
•Temporary regressions are common with even
minor illnesses.•So a child may forget
to do the things he used to do before
falling sick .•But don’t worry ! He willl do it soon & even
go further.
Child Development occurs under four
major heads.
•PHYSICAL-•MENTAL•LANGUAGE•SOCIAL
•Fine motor control is more important than gross motor control.
•Mental development is important than just
physical development
•Child allowed to play on his own
under supervision & encouragement develops faster .
•An over protected child develops late & may lose confidence.
•Let the child make mistakes &
learn .•Just see that he doesn’t get hurt
or destroys valuables.
•Always have more time with your children
• Talk to them •Cuddle & hug them .
•Encourage them to learn.
• A child staying in a group of children with
many adults around develops faster.
•Child born on second birth order develops faster.
•Enjoy your child’s development
Its quite a fun!•Learn new things
from him & find yourself growing
too !!
