National Endowment of the Humanities

• Each year, NEH offers generous stipends for school, college and university educators to study a variety of humanities topics.

• Programs range in length from one-four weeks.

• Opportunities available both domestically and internationally.

Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching

• Used to be Fulbright Teacher Exchange• Available to all teachers of all subjects, guidance counselors, curriculum

specialists, curriculum heads, Special Education coordinators and media specialists/librarians.

• Go abroad for three to four months to study in an overseas research center or university, work within local schools in the host country, and to complete a capstone project that should enhance their learning and have practical applications to their teaching.

• Countries: Chile, Finland, India, Israel, Mexico, Morocco, New Zealand, Palestinian Territories, Singapore, South Korea and United Kingdom

• Destination different every year. 2014 is to China.• Lasts 4-6 weeks.• Includes, round-trip economy airfare; room and
