S2 Hormones and Related SubstancesS2 Hormones and Related Substances
The following substances, including other substances with a similar chemical structure or similar biological effect(s), and their releasing factors, are prohibited:
1. Erythropoietin (EPO)2. Growth Hormone (hGH), Insulin-like Growth Factors (e.g. IGF-l),

Therapeutische Ausnahmeregelung (TUE)Therapeutische Ausnahmeregelung (TUE)
Abbreviated TUE- Only for glucocorticosteroids by non-systemic routes (local routes of administration) and for - beta-2 agonists (formoterol, salbutamol, salmeterol and
terbutaline) by inhalationStandard TUE- For any treatment involving a substance or method on the Prohibited List that is not admissible for an abbreviated TUE.
The criteria are:¨ The athlete would experience significant health problems without taking the
prohibited substance or method,¨ The therapeutic use of the substance would not produce significant
enhancement of performance, and¨ There is no reasonable therapeutic alternative to the use of the otherwise
prohibited substance or method.
