It has been a bold start to 2013 in the Finance Space as we
continue to see an outward shift in demand for good quality
Controlling and Finance professionals with cost continuing
to be a leading factor in the business.
Finance Professionals who are able to present accurate and
effective cost reports, and are also able to drive down
costing in business are continuing to be a very scarce
commodity.
As a result, there is an increase in demand for Controlling
professionals who are skilled in Management Information
Systems.
While Germany continues to be the powerhouse of EU
growth, we are seeing a trend for top financial talent to be
demanded by the country.
With the German Balance of Trade continuing its upward
trend, and the Swiss Balance of Trade being at a 16 month
low we expect there to be continued movement in the
region as production readjusts and top financial talent
continues to be demanded.
Once more we expect there to be a large migration of
talent towards the Central European region, as it produces
the jobs that are still so lacking in the more burdened
European states.
There have been some exciting moves this month, especial-
ly from well-known brands, such as Unilever and Carlsberg,
Ashland Inc. and Sky Deutschland AG.
Will 2013 finally be the year that the market begins to turn?
