Background
Dynamics of New Hire Training
• Late in 2006 moving into 2007 we discussed the “low time” and “lower experienced” pilot market! Initial AQP data showed trends that required additional training resources.
• In 2008 AQP trends and analysis showed us that we needed to concentrate on the first time Continuing Qualification crew members.
• Changes were made and the results were seen immediately.
Advanced Qualification Program for the Initial Pilot Training
Dynamics of New Hire Training
• To define additional training requirements. • Identified the needed information to make a New Hire
Pilot successful.• Outline of the Launch Program.• Ground School Sessions (Subjects Covered).• Simulator Sessions (FTD/ Full Flight Simulator).• Advanced Qualification Program data gave us a way
to provide the needs of a New Hire pilot regardless of experience level entering the airline training environment.
