Orient died unexpectedly June24 at her home.

Mrs. Terry, who was wellknown here, was born in James-port , the daughter of the lateHenry T. and Emma A. Ryder.

She was a member of the Con-gregational church in Orient andof its Missionary society. Shewas also a member of theDaughters of America and of thefire department auxiliary.

Surviving are her husband ;one sister, Mrs. Arthur Phillips ,and a brother, Robert R. Ryder ,both of Patchogue.\ Funeral services were held in

the Orient Congregational churchand interment in Orient cemetery.

MRS. ELLA S. HA IT. 94, of97 Cedar avenue, Patchogue, dL-dSaturday at the home of herdaughter, Mrs. Mabel Lowndes ofthe same address.

Born in Coram, Mrs. Halt wasthe widow of Charles D. Hait.She had lived her entire life inthis vicinity. She was a memberof the ¦ .- Patchogue Methodistchurch. ' , , • .'

Besides her daughter, Mrs. Ka;tis survived by a granddaughter,Mrs. Mary Jones of Patchogue,an*l one great-granddaughter.

Private funera l services wereheld at 2 p. m. Tuesday at C.W. Ruland Sons chapel. Patch-ogue, the Rev. Stuart W. VanCott of the Patchogue Congrega-tional church officiating. Inter-ment followed in Cedar Grovecemetery , Patchogue.
