February Newsletter

Hello eagles parents and happy February! Last month the eagles had a great time focusing in on fiction stories. We journeyed through four different types of fiction stories, learning each of their identities from fairy tales to fables.

This month, we will divecelebratory month—Black History Month! The eagles will learn about African American influencers in our history, as well as inventors. We will learn about their cultures, and will have fun with a little jazz music! I can’t wait to teach the kids all there is to learn this month! Week 1: In our first week, the children will learn about Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, Jackie Robinson, Willie May, and Ruby Bridges! Week 2: In week 2, the Eagles will learn about Booker T. Washington, ElizaColeman, George Washington Carver, and Jessie Owens! Week 3: This week, the Eagles will learn about two inventors, Lonnie G. Johnson, Garrett A. Morgan, and will explore the world of jazz!
