This book is dedicated to the One who has always been patient with and continually carried me through life. Father, You’re the One who has carried me through these “rough years” and will yet carry me.
Thank You.

Without light the world would be incredibly boring and, in fact, could not operate. Life is about light. When you enter a world of bright light you experience that world in vivid color. Contained within these pages you will get a brief overview of expressions of my world, which began very dark, but has mercifully received great Light. The works you will encounter here are not merely design “pieces” but an articulation of my soul, an outgrowth of who I am as a person. As a designer my desire is to allow the same Light that has shone in my heart shine through every piece. Each section of this book has been divided into one of the seven colors that make up white l ight with the beginning dark and the endingbright. I hope you enjoy this brief window into my l i feand see where my ski l ls could be of benefit to you.
“What is the way to the place where light lives?” 3

Fur Responsibly
Poster and Invite created for a campaign on social issues. The issue assigned to me was on animal cruelty. I didn’t agree with any of the views of the ma-jor organizations such as PETA, but believe that animals and their furs should be properly stewarded. When I found that the Fur Commission promotes proper use of animals and their furs I took the idea and ran with it. The concept was to keep things in the campaign as natu-ral feeling as possible but with a slight modern touch.

Head In Clouds
Poster designed in Advanced Graphic Design class. We were to create a mail out pro-moting the Visual Communi-cation program of AIU. After several different ideas I came up with Heads in clouds. The desire was to in a sense give future students license to dream. Demonstrated by the phrase, “Keep Your head In the Clouds” I wanted the students to see the possibility that an education in graphic design would open for them. Putting the project together, I found many different skin textures from magazines and created the culturally diverse collage shown.
Jesus Camp
Poster and Magazine Ad cre-ated for Magnolia Pictures documentary Jesus Camp. The documentary is about Christ ian youth who are being raised up as representatives of God’s army. Not an army of guns and violence but of love & prayer. The youth on the poster wears “Life” tape on his mouth in a si lent protest and prayer gathering against abortion at the U.S. Capitol. The tape demonstrates the fact that the unborn have no voice. The desire was to cap-ture the spir it of these radical youth in this campaign.
Lisa Van-Etta
This poster was created as part of an assignment for work-study I did for AIU. The poster was for a local photographer who came to the school to showcase her work.
Margo Grant Walsh
Poster and Invite created as part of an entire promotional campaign for an exhibit from the Museum of Fine Arts Hous-ton. To keep the style of the campaign clean a European typeface was used so as to not detract the attention from the artwork.
