International Conference on Agricultural Extension (AGREX) is a conference which has been organized since 2008. The previous conferences have been very successful in bringing together various stakeholders involved in agriculture extension. AGREX'17 carries the theme "Empowering Knowledge to Communities, Enhancing Food Security". It is hoped that the conference can be an effective platform to share efficient ways to extend knowledge in agronomic techniques and skills to rural communities in a systematic and participatory manner in order to increase production and income; and finally to achieve food security for the nation. We welcome academics, researchers, policy makers, extension practitioners, industrialist , venture capitalist, entrepreneurs, and students to share their views and experiences.

Prof. Itagaki Keishiro: Faculty of International Agriculture and Food Studies, Tokyo University of Agriculture, Japan. Professor Itagaki has conducted research on agricultural and rural development as well as international cooperation in Asia. He is also involved in agricultural development economics and international agricultural development. In AGREX’17, Professor Itagaki will deliver his keynote address entitled “Enhanced Role of Small Farm in a View of Sustainable Model for Agriculture”.
Prof. Emeritus Dato' Dr. Sulaiman Md. Yassin: Inter-Country Coordinator in developing an ASEAN Modular Programme, funded by the Australian Government and ASEAN. Also a trustee of the Yayasan Basmi Kemiskinan (Poverty Eradication Foundation) since 1995 as well as a Trustee of the American Alumni Malaysia Foundation and Yayasan Pengaman Malaysia (Malaysian Peace Foundation).
