ICT to Engineering
Step 1: Meet with Engineering Dean in 206Engineering Hall to discuss
Step 1a: If the dean determines you are not
ready to start the process, take their advice andtake the classes they recommend or explore thealternatives they provide.
Step 2: Assuming the dean starts the ICT
process, write your personal statement of 250-500 words explaining why you wish to pursuethe engineering major you chose.

ICT to Engineering, continued
Step 3: Meet with the Chief Advisor for the engineeringmajor you chose. If they sign the form recommendingyour transfer, take it back to 206 Engineering Hall andmeet with a dean again. If the Chief Advisor feels theyneed to see more grades, be patient and ask their advice
on your next semester schedule. Step 3a: If the department denies your transfer, ask
their opinion on alternatives and then meet with a deanin 206 EH to discuss alternatives as well.
Step 4: If everything goes well, the department
approves and the dean in 206 EH approves, you will bein your new major for the next semester. If all thepaperwork is completed by the 1st week of the semester,it will likely be approved for that semester.

Best times to start ICT
A few weeks before Advanced Enrollmentbegins (October 20 or March 25). This allowsyou to discuss the next semesters classes withyour potential new Chief Advisor and then enroll
in them. As soon as you return to campus after summer
or between semesters. This is your last chanceto get it processed for the semester about tostart.
Remember these times are for College ofEngineering programs, so ChemE is different.Check with LAS.
