Mozambique is located in southern Africa. Here you can experience untouched, pristine wilderness. One of the best hunting destinations worldwide awaits you: You can hunt in regions, in which trophy hunting has not been conducted for 16 years and consequently there are high quality trophies!

Hunting ground Coutada XI

The hunting ground of our Partner Zambeze Delta Safaris belongs to the Marromeu Complex and is located in central Mozambique. It adjoins the mighty Zambezi River and covers an area of approximately 200,000 ha.

Hunting season Hunting season in Mozambique is between 1st June and 30th November.

Mungari Camp: Is a traditional East African safari tented camp. There are 7 tents all with en-suite bathrooms, hot and cold running water. Each tent can accommodate 2 people.

Ngazi Camp: Was an original hunting camp in the early Portuguese days. 2007 our partner decided to renew this camp. Now it has 3 main bedrooms both with en-suite bathrooms and hot and cold water.

• Export basic fee/permit (= paperwork to cover the local Veterinary and Agricultural transport permit and inspection) of USD 440,– is offset after completion of the hunt.

• Export fee (per trophy – see list) covers costs for transportation from Camp to Emiac in Maputo.

• Emiac organize all the paperwork and documents to transport the trophies from Maputo to South Africa. Included are disinfection of trophies and crating. Costs are separately charged.

• Transport costs from South Africa to Europe are separately charged. Trophies need to be transported via South Africa, since there are not any Cargo Airlines linking Maputo directly with Europe.

Hunting ground Mahimba

Mahimba is a hunting block near to the mouth of the Zambeze river and covers an area of approximately 30,000 ha. The vegetation comprises of tropical Savannah and wetlands and makes for a great tracking safari. Buffalo are plentiful and you will typically encounter herds every day. In addition to this, it’s great area to take Croc. Other plains game available includes Bushbuck, Warthog, Bushpig, Reedbuck, Sable & Waterbuck.

Hunting season Hunting season in Mahimba is between September to November.

Camp: The camp is rustic, simple, but comfortable. The camp can accommodate up to 3 people.

You may also add a few days for extra plains game and hunt in Coutada XI (prices

according to Coutada XI). This will not require any extra charter fees.

• Export fee (per trophy – see list) covers costs for transportation from Camp to Emiac in Maputo.

Informations: Needed for Mozambique: Visa: Application can be made 4 weeks prior to departure Embassy from Mozambique in your own country For application the following documents are required:

• Original passport must be valid at least 6 months and still be at least 1 free side

• Children need their own passport

Customs & Immigration: We have a private Agent meet you at Beira with all your relevant paperwork. Please bring your passport. Health Precaution: Mozambique is a Malaria area and clients must take precautions. It is suggested that you take “Lariam” or “Malarone” tablets – with your doctor’s approval.

Recommended Equipment:

Please remember to take too much laundry, because there is a daily laundry service at the camp. In a few cases it can happen that you stay in Spike camps, but you never usually stay more than one night outside the base camp. Important: Military type cammo is not permitted in most African countries, but Realtree types are normally accepted. Suitable colors for hunting clothes are dark khaki or olive green. Gearlist:

Palladium Pampa Hi-otan-green The Pampa Hi in green. The classic is known as a cult shoe from the 80s. The upper canvas is since 1947 faithful companion of the pampas and finally also his trademark. Combined with the typical rubber sole this lace-up is still a hot topic today. What can not be missing at a Pampa is the rubber toe cap.

This overall with Silent-Hide technology is extremely quiet and extremely practical. The overall is made of a very solid and robust fabric. The overall has two chest pockets. On the side of the legs there are two large cargo pockets. The back pocket has a zipper. The overall has a large hidden zipper on the chest. In addition, the overall has a drawstring at the bootom.
