This year is our seventhannual Enterprise Fair!And its going to be another very busy event. All stalls arerun by young people fromschools, youth groups or young independententrepreneurs.

SOLVA SCHOOL have attended Pembrokeshires Annual Enterprise Fair everyyear since the very beginning, back in 2008, bringing some fantastic, innovative
products along with an incredible journey from the start until the present dayand maybe even a glimpse into their delightful offerings for the 2014 Fair.
What a fantastic opportunity, I have never seen an event like this before,but shall be taking the idea home with me A visitor from Oxford
Building on from their Bin Success, thefollowing years Enterprise team at Solvadecided to develop the idea even further!In the first picture below, students can beseen in the very early stages of buildingthe bins... with the finished product to theright looking absolutely fantastic! The binsgot bigger and even more colourful in(year) and once again proved to be a real
money spinner for the enterprising school!

were made into various products includingpuppets, doorstops and simple ornaments.

Although theEnterprise Fair is just a 3 day event, the preparation and effortput into designing and making products to sell across those threedays is enormous! Here, enjoying the glorious Pembrokeshiresunshine, pupils from Solva School begin the decorating of their Bin Monsters which were a real winner, flying off the stall!

A great variety of products in 2009 EnteFair. Solvas Enterprise team were very bin the run-up to the fair! Using simple gltumblers, they came up with the fantasticidea of making tea-light holders and vaseamazingly decorated with their own fair hands! Alongside these, they also madewonderful slate chalkboards, decorated w
hand collected shells washed up on the lobeach. These proved to be a huge hit witcustomers who told the team the chalkbwere ideal for their kitchens, for writinnotes on or shopping list reminders. As was these they also made beanbag fish maout of recycled materials and rice!
Building on their success of the seashell-decorated slate chalkboards, Solva returnin 2010 as Frames R Us. Using recycwood to make frames or frames found incharity shops, they upcycled them usingseashells collected from local beaches.Together with the Slate Chalkboards, theywent down a storm with passing custome
Solva School is committed to Enterprise witha dedicated Enterprise display in the school,detailing the previous years enterprise journeywith sample products. Themonies raised by the traders atthe Enterprise Fair tend to beall profit as they collect recycledmaterials for upcycling. This year is no different and Solva are setto shine again... a little teaser for you, if youre looking for homegrown, fresh salad products for your summer lunches you maywant to visit Solvas stall!
After being a judge at the EnterpriseFair, Cllr Huw George invited SolvasEnterprise Team to visit County Hallafter being so impressed with their dedication to making products outof recyclable materials. The teamarrived at Haverfordwest usinglocal public transport, which was anexciting experience in itself! AboveRight, you can see the team outsideCounty Hall! The team were invited into the Council Chamberswhere they took to the seats of our local Councillors... practisingfor the future maybe? They were then awarded with a buffet lunchbefore presenting Cllr George with a sunny Solva photo in one of
their hand-made, upcycled photo frames!
Eligible businesses can receive subsidised support through PBI's '360 degree project' which offerssubsidised business development advice. The project has received funding through the RuralDevelopment Plan for Wales 2007-2013 which is funded by the Welsh Government and the EuropeanAgricultural Fund for Rural Development.

GREENHILL SCHOOL,TenbyYear 10 students from GreenhillSchool Tenby were successfulin reaching the Young BusinessDragon Finals at the Liberty Stadiumin Swansea. Pitching their uniquewater bottle that filters sea water to drinking water to an audience of over 200 people, they won The BestEnvironmental Award.It was an incredible experience.
