With the global biogas market

estimated at £1trn and energy security, cli-mate change and the UN Sustainable De-velopment Goals driv-ing the need to rapidly increase the uptake of biogas, UK AD & Bio-gas and World Biogas Expo 2017 is the place to come to find out why and how. Taking place on the 5-6 July at the NEC in Birmingham, it will be the show’s sev-enth consecutive year and will consolidate its position as the #1 global trade show for the biogas industry. This year the show will benefit from its new partnership with the World Biogas Asso-ciation (WBA) to show-case the global biogas industry at ADBA’s leading event, which last year was attended by participants from over 50 countries.Located in the same hall as UK AD & Bi-ogas, World Biogas Expo 2017 will have its own dedicated space, international pavilions and conference area. UK AD & Biogas 2017 will retain its focus on the UK market.Exhibitors throughout the combined event will be showcasing all the products and services required to commission, build and operate all types of biogas plant, includ-ing agricultural, com-mercial and sewage treatment plants. The show will also cover for the first time landfill gas and food waste collection systems, as well as everything needed for heat and power networks, and using biomethane in transport.

Argus Biomass Asia 2017, 14-15 June 2017,

Singapore

With Asia continu-ing to be a ma-

jor emerging driver for biomass demand, this conference offers an opportunity for indus-try professionals from around the world to share insight, network and do business right here in Singapore.

We are glad to an-nounce some excit-ing new changes for the 2017 conference program. The agenda will include a half-day spotlight focus on the growing role of palm kernel shell (PKS) in Asia’s renewable en-ergy mix.

This unique session will look into Japan’s import volumes and quality needs while providing a platform that faciliates dialogue between buyers and sellers of PKS. Speak-ers and panelists in this session aim to answer the following key ques-tions:

“What the the ‘real’ cost of oil palm bio-mass - from harvesting and transport to stor-age and quality ac-creditation? What will be the pricing strategy for PKS going forward and what is the role of aggregators in the trade?

“Building the Bioeconomy”

Exhibit - Sponsor - Register

This July in Birmingham, we are delighted that the UK AD & Biogas trade show will return for its 7th year, this time in partnership with the WBA to create the world’s largest global dedicated biogas trade show, UK AD & Biogas and World Biogas Expo 2017, bringing 4,000 attendees from over 50 different countries together to discuss AD’s critical contribution to delivering the UN Sustainable Development Goals and more besides.

Find out who is leading the way in AD and Biogas, meeting targets for business performance, best practice and sustainability goals. What are the best international markets for AD and what are the economic models behind them? What challenges are we facing as a sector, such as the impact of Brexit and which countries are already including biogas in their strategies for meeting global climate change targets and UN Sustainable Development Goals?

With global recognition of the technology’s potential gaining ground, we have secured a fantastic line up of speakers from international institutions to share their views on these critical issues, including representatives from: the International Energy Agency, the Global Methane Initiative, the USA’s Environmental Protection Agency, the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA), Italy’s CIC, Brazil’s Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Greece’s National Technical University of Athens, the World Biogas Association, as well as the UK’s new London Food Board, WRAP, Zero Waste Delivery, Scottish Government, BBSRC, Brevia Consulting, and the National Farmers Union (NFU).

With a global reach, over 57 hours of content across the conference including two full day seminar programmes, the Research and Innovation Hub, 250+ AD exhibitors, the inaugural co-located BioBased Innovations and Waste Water & Sewage Treatment Expos, the AD and Biogas Industry Awards, workshops, 3 AD plant site visits and much more, this event is the hub of the international AD and biogas industry and is not to be missed.

Elmia Wood 2017, 7-10 June,

Jönköping, Sweden

Welcome to Elmia Wood, which this

year is larger, broader and more interesting than ever. With the pre-miere of the new Load & Transport section, the fairground area in the forest is significant-ly larger and includes new segments in lo-gistics and timber han-dling. Two more new sections, Hunting and the Drone Zone, also contribute innovations to this year’s fair. More than 550 exhibitors from some 30 coun-tries are now waiting for the opportunity to present their solutions for a whole range of requirements.

The daily programme, which includes shows, competitions, award ceremonies, social events and seminars, is more packed than ever. Demonstrations and world premieres at the exhibitors’ stands will attract large crowds. The demo areas are also larger this year and contain everything from trials of new ma-chines to full-scale final felling.

Every four years El-mia Wood brings to-gether the world’s lead-ing manufacturers and suppliers to the forest industry. The entire fair is held in the forest south of Jönköping, where you can see and test forest machines and tools in their natu-ral environment. Visit-ing Elmia Wood is an efficient and enjoyable way to acquire valu-able knowledge, get an overview of the market, expand your network of contacts and dis-cover new trends.

Come and meet forestry professionals from around the world on 7 to 10 June.
