THE DAY, I WAS MOST UNHAPPY
The most unhappy day in my life
That was that day my grand father was in bed for ever. Before
going to work, I was a little surprised at him being in bed longer
than another. Beside, I wondered myself whether he was well or
not today. I came near to his bed and looked at him through
mosquito net. He still lay as he was sleeping. I called him but
there was no answer. I was terrible panic when I rolled the
mosquito up and discovered him out of breath for a long time. Ifelt the sky fell down underneath my feet. I groaned in pain with
my youngest brother and called for help.
Soon after many people rushed into my house because they
couldn't believe my grand father was dead. It was yesterday
evening they still saw my grand father going for walk in the edge
of rice field. Amongst the crowded, there seemed a few peoplecrying in company with me. From the time I realized my grand
father never came into his senses, I sat motionless by his side.
My hands held his hands while my tears dripped down on my face
and my cheek. I didn't want to be apart from him even of a
minutes because I knew it was the last time I was sat beside him.
Between my brothers, my grand father loved me the most. He
rarely grumbled at me. When I felt sad, he always told everybodylet me in silence instead of nagging me. He was the one who
realized what I wanted even if I couldn't utter a word. He always
afforded me what I wished. He always advocated what I carried

out although he sometimes didn't really want how I did. He was
actually the Buddha in my life.
But for now, he left me for real. There loved nobody to me likehim. And I felt very unhappy when someone wore my head a
mourning band. At that time, I just realized that my parents always
make me happy but I didn't know I'm happy. I always dreamed of
many things which I didn't occupy. I wished I had a wonderful
sweet dream. I wanted to live in independence instead of living
with my family. I'm too foolish because I didn't esteem what I had.
I didn't know that my happiness was peaceful day beside myparents. I didn't recognize that it's my parents being my
happiness.
I never forgot his sacrifice. And I was sorry that I have not done
for him before he went away. No matter whether he was alive or
dead, I still believe that he is always around me. Whenever I feel
sad or apprehensive about something, I often whisper in my head:"Daddy, where are you? Are you around myself?" And my grieves
will reduce in half when I call him as if he were still by my side.
It's three years ago from the day I was drown in agony but I
couldn't forget that dreadful day. After my grand father's death, I
dared not sleep for months. I was afraid that everybody left me
alone like my grand father. I was afraid of everything and I was
always in nervous tension. I was too exhausted to give up the jobfrom that day.

If I were an ActorIf I were an actor, I would obviously like to step into the shoes of the
veteran actor, Amitabh Bachan. To achieve his popularity would bemy ambition, and the love he commands from people around the
globe my ultimate goal.
First and foremost, I would like to be very technical and professional.
To attain these qualities, it would first be necessary to join a film
Institute to get training in good and exemplary acting. What I consider
most important in acting is to get the expressions right.
Expressions for any given role should be perfect and, for that I think I
would have to learn to step into the skin of the role I would take up.
This art would be mastered by me for, I think this is the most important
quality which makes an actor superb in his work. This is again as I
think most difficult to achieve for any actor. Dancing and running
around trees is no difficult task for anyone but, the skill of getting
through an expression is most important and difficult.
After training in the fine art of acting, I would like to learn and
understand the technicalities of a few other inputs in a good film. I
would like to dabble in direction, choreography and computer
graphics. This would enable me to understand the depth of the art of
cinema making.
Regarding my roles I would from the very beginning, be very choosy
and specific. Actually, the run of the mill role very commonly taken up
by new stars would never catch my interest. Moreover, I would like to
depict myself to the audience as, I would like them to take me as the
-

individual that I am. I say this because what I have seen is that the
image once imprinted on the minds of the audience never really gets
obliterated.
Once they take an individual actor as a villain, or a comedian or a
romantic, this image is permanent. This is why, from the very
beginning of my career, I would like to take up roles that befit a mature
individual. My esteemed audience would always see me in mature
roles, as an actor handling a role in a very mature and serious
manner. I would just become the person I am acting as if to say,
merge into the character I would be depicting.
These days, the mushroom growth of movies is not what I like. Every
actor is involved in a dozen or so movies at the same time. This I feel
is the main cause of the deterioration in the standard of movies and
that of acting. I personally feel that, actors doing several roles at the
same time can not do justice to any. I would never take up more than
two movies an year, as, this would give me enough time and space todo well in both my movies.
If I would follow these norms I am sure I would be able to reach the
standard of my ideal, Mr. Amitabh Bachan. I would become a popular
actor, a mature actor and one much sought after. This is my ambition
to be achieved if I were to become an actor. I would like to leave
behind me a name in the world of art and films, and not be just one of
those who also ran.

MY GREATEST WISH
Since my childhood, I have been very fond of reading books and
playing challenging games. My mother tells me that I rode a horsewhen I was only 8 years old, after I had seen a picture-book which
contained a soldier riding a horse.
Again, at the age of 12, I began to swim, though my father scared me
by saying that water was not only a friend, but dangerous too. As a
student of secondary classes, 1 opted for swimming, and used to go
to the school-pool every evening for training. It was then included in
the Time-table.
Since I passed my Secondary Examination securing a high second
division, I took to reading good books, in addition to my course books,
and thus succeeded in securing 88 per cent marks in the Senior
School Certificate Examination last year.
My only wish is to be a great scholar. I read books on almost all
subjects. Burning the midnight oil is now very common for me, as this
would help me in achieving my objective of being a scholar.
I have never liked the job of a physician and engineering is Greek to
me. Business and Commerce are just the things I hate. Government
service, according to me, is meant for the mediocre. So, these ideas
hardly leave any other opening for me. I aspire to be a scholar onlyand I am glad I am trying hard for the same.

A TRAGIC ACCIDENT
It was a very cold morning as it had been raining very heavily the previous
night. As my mother was feeling a little under the weather, my sister
volunteered to drive me to school. I had overslept and as a result, was
running a bit late for school. We got into the car hurriedly. The road was
already congested with traffic. It appeared that everyone was late as well.
My sister was a careful driver and despite the fact I was already late, she
refused to drive fast on the slippery road. I was lucky she was such a
resolute and careful person because a few hundred meters away from theschool, we witnessed a tragic accident. it all happened very quickly, as most
accidents do. A car full of school children had made a left turning without
signaling and as a result a school bus crashed into it. A few cars behind the
school bus rammed into the bus as they could not brake in time and soon it
became a pile up. The already congested road became jammed with vehicles
that came to a crawl. I told my sister that I wanted to help the victims and
she nodded silently. She brought the car to a halt not too far from the
accident spot.
The scene that greeted us was something I would never forget. It left an
indelible imprint in my mind to date. The impact of the accident had
plunged three school children out of the car. The driver, a lady, lay lifeless
on the steering wheel. I rushed to the children who were preschoolers. Two
of them were seriously hurt and bleeding profusely from the head and
hands. they were conscious although too weak to realize what had
happened. One of them had her left hand severed and appeared
unconscious. I think she was killed on the spot. In the meantime passers-byhad called the ambulance and while waiting we tried as best as possible to
help the victims.
The passengers in the school bus too were injured. I dashed into the bus and
saw the driver laid slumped on the wheels. He had severe injuries on the
-

head. While my sister helped him down from the bus, I told the injured
school children to stay calm. Most of them appeared to suffer from minor
cuts and bruises on their arms and bodies. it was really fortunate that
nobody was badly hurt. By then a few adults had entered the bus and
together we instructed the children to come out of the bus slowly. Thechildren were crying and screaming for their parents and we had to hug
them to keep them quiet.
Meanwhile, two ambulances had arrived. A traffic police car was there too.
Two policemen were taking down statements from eye-witnesses. The
injured and the dead were whisked away to the hospital. My sister and I
later gave an account to the police of what had happened.
I was late for school. In fact, many drives were also late for their work. I
informed my teacher of the accident and both felt that it could have been
prevented if the drivers had been more careful. Innocent lives would not
have been lost otherwise.

A letter to the principal
Dear Principal,
I am very sorry for breaking the class chair. I knew that behavior was not allowed
when I did it, and I apologize for acting as though I am above. It was very foolish
and not right to both I and the rest of the class students.
I understand that I should not allow to play with the school property. The school
property is to keep the students safe, appropriate and to easy. Behavior was
wrong of me because of me. I know that I am not an exception to the rest of the
student body, and that my punishment is completely deserved.
Once again, I'm sorry for my behavior. I will work hard from now on to show you
my right behaviour and obedience when it comes to the guidelines here at School.
Sincerely,
Faiz Ahmad

A letter to the superintendent of police
Sir,
Through this letter I wish to report a case of robbery that took place yesterday in a train when we had
travelled to Sarojini Nagar to our relative to attend a marriage ceremony. To o shock, suddenly few
robbers climbed in the train and guns are aiming our head for the money and whatever we had. The
robbers took away a file of important papers which was kept in case with the other things. I am
utterly surprised to think how this could happen the railway police post is located hardly at a
distance of 200 meter at that station. I immediately got the case registered at that station.
Unfortunately, no action has been taken by the railway police police. Being disappointed I have to
approach you.
I am confident you would be prompt in taking in necessary action in this regard so that no suchincident place again and we may live with full safety and security.
Thanking you,
Yours Faithfully,

Apology Letter to Friend
Dear Friend
Please allow me to apologize for what I did on picnic. My behavior was extremely inappropriate,
immature, and lacked the respect you deserved. It was a disruption and distracted othersfrom doing.
It was embarrassing, but I learned that nobody appreciated my poor behavior. In the future, I
have every intention of curbing my thoughtless actions and learn to adjust my behavior befitting
the environment and situation.
Again, I am sorry for my actions and I hope that we can put this matter behind us. I look forward
to working on my behavior right. If you have any thoughts in this, please feel free to share. You
may contact me at your convenience at my email/phone.
Sincerely,Faiz Ahmad
Letter to a friend for your experiences to organizing school fete
Dear Friend
It has been a long time since we exchanged letters. In this letter I am
giving you an exhilarating experience of my role in organizing school fete.
Setting up a small fete might seem like a doddle of a job but in actual fact it can
take time, patience and a great deal of organising. If you're planning it as a small
team, be prepared to multi-task and take on lots of different jobs or better still
appeal for further help by putting up posters or handing out leaflets at the school.
Stay at home mums with children at the same school might be only too pleased
to provide an extra set of hands and it's always useful to have lots of extra people
to donate ideas and take responsibility for different jobs. Once you have your
team or 'committee' in place, you're ready to move on to the planning stage.
Pay my regards to your parents
Yours sincerely

Write a letter to the municipal officer for bad roads
Sir,
I wish to draw your attention towards the poor maintenance of roads and lights in our locality.
The roads in our locality have not been repaired for a long time. There are pits and ditches on the
roads everywhere. The condition of the road becomes all the worst during the rainy season. They
cause road accident. At night people sometimes stumble down. Moreover, these pits provide
breeding ground for the mosquitoes. Thus there is an outbreak of mosquitoes in the locality leading
to the spread of malaria.
Besides, most of the street lights in our locality are out of order. Only a few street lights are
functioning. It is darkness in the locality. It has caused a spurt in the incidence of crime in the area.
People do not find it safe to go out of their houses with the prevailing of darkness. There are frequentincidents of chain snatching in the evening hours. Particularly ladies are unsafe in coming out of
their houses in the dark. Snatching, burglary and theft have become the order of the day. The
hooligans after committing crimes take advantage of the darkness and safely run away.
I, therefore, request you to kindly take necessary action to mend the ways so that people of the area
have good roads and street lights.
Thanking you,

MORAL SCIENCEExperience of God presence
I believe that a major key to growing in intimacy with God is having a hunger for His presence.
The Bible teaches us that God is omnipresent, which means that His presence is everywhere. But there is a difference between the omnipresence of God and the manifestpresence of God.
Gods manifest presence is His presence revealed to us in a tangible way; it is His experiential
presence. When I speak of experiencing the manifest presence of God I am not referring to an
emotional feeling. It is something tangible and is totally apart from ourselves, though we get to
enter into it.
I Thought God Was Everywhere?
I have heard it said that since God is everywhere we should not speak in terms such as God
showing up in a meeting or church service. But this type of thinking fails to distinguish
between these two types of Gods presence.
For example, while everyone in Jerusalem was in the omnipresence of God on the day of
Pentecost, only those in the upper room came into contact with His manifest presence, which
came as a rushing wind, tongues of fire, and the supernatural experience of speaking in tongues
(see Acts 2:1-4). Certainly, God showed up! We should have a continual hunger and thirst for
the manifest presence of God.
The Example of Moses
Moses was a man who was familiar with the manifest presence of God. While talking with the
Lord about entering the Promised Land he said, IfYour Presence does not go with us, do not
bring us up from here (Exodus 33:15).
That is the kind of hunger that God is looking for today. Moses preferred to be in the wildernesswith God than to be in the Promised Land without Him. Lets remember this important principle
as we contend for our own spiritual promised land. It is so easy to get caught up in the promises
and blessings of God and lose sight of the purpose of it all; to know Him.
The Veil is Torn
One of my favorite Bible passages is Mark 15:37-38 which reads, And Jesus cried out with a
loud voice, and breathed His last. Then the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to
bottom. I love this passage because it clearly illustrates the unlimited access that we now have
to the manifest presence of God.
The veil that was torn in the temple was a thick curtain that separated the Holy Place from the
Most Holy Place (also called the Holy of Holies). The Holy of Holies was the place where Gods
actual tangible presence dwelt in the temple. Only the high priest was permitted to enter into
this place, and only one time per year. As soon as Jesus died on the cross this veil was torn from
top to bottom, giving us entrance into Gods immediate presence.Hebrews 10:19-22 reads:
Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of
Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since
-

we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in
full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and
having our bodies washed with pure water.
Because of the cross every one of us can enter into the Most Holy Place of His presence at any
time. Consider what a profound thought that is in light of how limited the access was under the
Old Covenant.
We are exhorted to draw near to God with the promise that He will then draw near to us (see
James 4:8). Every Christian can and should experience the manifest presence of God. Each
persons experience with Gods presence will be different but we can all experience it. Like
David, begin to seek the face of God and thirst for His presence, and you will find that He truly
rewards those who diligently seek Him.

Teachers are builder of the future
They say that a great teacher produces a great student. Teachers are the people
responsible for moldingthe personality of the students in school so
if the teachers are great there is no reason not to have greatstudents who willbecome great people in the future. Most students taught by great teachers become
successful in the future.
Great teachers do not only teach the lessons to students. They are thepeople who act
as the guardians of the students in school. They are theguidance counselors who take
care of the students when they have problems in
school. Great teachers are great individuals who focus on theimprovement

and the development of the student's personality in order for them to become successful
people in the future.
How then do great teachers help impact a student's future?
Great teachers provide a good foundation for the students
Great teachers serve as the builders of a great foundation
for the student. Great teachers possess good qualities that help them become
effectiveteachers to their students. If teachers are great then they have thetendency to
be able to instill in their students skills that will be useful in their future life.
Great teachers teach life skills that are essential for the students' future
Great teachers teach their students life skills that are very useful in their future. The lifeskills learned by thestudents from their teachers are crucial in their future life
when the time comes for them to face the real world and have a life of their own.
Great teachers are great influences to their students
Teachers are great influences to their students. Most students idolize their teachers so
if teachers are greatthe tendency is for the students to imitate them and
become great too.
Great teachers instill great values to their students
Great teachers are teachers who teach good values to their students. These goodvalues serve as tools for the students to achieve better and become successful
in the future.
Great teachers help mold the students to become better persons
The teachers mold the students to become better persons. The way the students are
molded by theteachers is crucial in their future life. If they are taught discipline,
responsibility, commitment, devotedness and being smart, these values will serve asindispensable tools that the students could use to attain success.
Teachers are the most important people who help in molding the student's personality inschool that is why if they are great, the students are more likely to achieve better
in the future.
