Our mission
From 12th April 2014 onwards, we will open every weekend a large, permanent, 00-scale model railway in Markeaton Park, Derby, for the general public to enjoy.

•Started off as a group of retired senior railway engineers and other professionals
•Over 50 members, including 10 life members

Accepted gift of a 40-feet-long model railway from Derek Chandley of Wilson near Melbourne in 2010. Model stored for three years.

•Set up long-term strategy to include garden railway and model steam track

•Lease term negotiated for 15 years in 2011
