President’s Letter
It's time to let you know that the February
meeting will be at Teds house again, it is a
very nice venue. We are working on a list
of demos to have at the meeting, and
would like to have some ideas from you as
to what you would like to see. We still en-
courage any of you to join in on the demo
lineup.
Our board meeting was Tuesday February
11 at 5:00 at Cozy Diner on Mangrove
Ave.
There were a few visitors at our Jan meet-
ing and it was great to have them there,
look forward to them returning.
We would like to remind everyone that the
annual dues are payable by the meeting in
February. Remember that this meeting is
also the final day to get your empty bowls
to us so we can get them turned in.
I encourage everyone to bring a problem
piece of wood to the meeting. It will give
us an opportunity to brainstorm on how we
would go about turning it into a pretty pro-
ject. Also things for the raffle are nice,
helps us raise money for the club, maybe
even someday get a famous turner to demo
for us.
We'll see you all at the next meeting, keep
on turning.

January 2020 Meeting
About 17 members ,guests (2) and new
member Showed up to the meeting.
Bud opened the meeting and reminded eve-
ryone about dues. Suggested having summer
barbeque in May when not so hot. Showed a
tree top ornament that George made.
Paul showed some graphics that can be
downloaded from https://
www.blocklayer.com and select Printable
templates. Lots of other stuff for calculating
construction items.
The gallery review turned out to be quite in-
teresting with lots of discussion about using
epoxy. One suggestion was to use thick ep-
oxy and force it into cracks rather then trying
to pour in.
Bud demoed an ornament kit and the draw-
ing added $42 to our treasury.
