TherearetwoFerroflexconstructionsavailable-‘FIW’and‘FSW’.Bothhaveatensionlayercomposedoflongitudinalsteelcordsthroughwhichpowertransmissioniseffected.TheFIWcarcasshasasingletransversallayerofsteelcordsontopofthelongitudinalsteelcords,whereastheFSWhastwotransversallayersofsteelcordssituatedatbothsidesofthelongitudinalsteelcords.Thetransversesteelcordsreinforcethebeltandalsoprotectagainstimpactandtears,providingexcellentreliabilityanddurability.

TheFSWconstructionisparticularlysuitableforelevatorbeltsespeciallyforuseinthecementindustryincombinationwiththeheatresistantDelahetecovergradequality.TheFSWreinforcedbeltcanbesuppliedwithcablefreezonestomaketheinstallationofbucketsandfastenerseasierandtocreateadynamicallystrongerendlessbelt.BothconstructionsareavailableinallDunlopcoverqualities.
