Field  trip  to  THE  AVENUES/  Bahrain  Bay

Coordinator:  Dr  Hisham  Al-­‐Azzawi,  HOD  Architecture  Design  Mr  Naqed,  Project  Manager  of  THE  AVENUES    As  part   of   both   the  building   construction   course   and   the  design   course   for   year   three,  students   visited   THE   AVENUES   project,   Bahrain   bay.   The   project   is   planned   to   be   one  amongst  the  biggest  malls  in  Bahrain.  New  structural  and  construction  ideas  and  concept  are  applied  in  this  project.  

Students   were   exposed   to   a   new   Mall   design   project.   They   learned   a   lot   about   the  different  structural  systems  and  constructional  techniques  in  addition  to  various  types  of  building  materials.
