and theoretical traditions and contests that cross cut the social sciences.

• Enhance your ability to participate intelligently in and/or understand theoretical discussion in your own discipline.

• Enhance your ability to intelligibly converse across theoretical discourses and traditions.

• Make you aware of the relevance of social theory in making systematic sense of the world around you.
