FRENCH FOODS
Camembert- French Cheese- Marie Harel created
original Camembert cheese from raw milk in
Normandy, France in 1791
Brie- French Cheese- Brie has the nickname “The
Queen of Cheeses. Brie is produced from the whole
or semi-skimmed cows milk.
FRENCH FOODS
Quiche Lorraine- Quiche Lorraine is made with
ham, egg, and heavy cream. It is half french and
half german.
Crepes- In the beginning, they didn’t even have
any fillings, but instead made from buckwheat flour
and served as bread.
FRENCH DRINKS
Hot Chocolate- In 1643, princess Maria Theresa of
Spain brought hot chocolate to France. It is used in
England as well but the French specialise it because
they would get a brioche or croissant and dip it in.
