Salon de actos18:30 26 Enero 2012
Agenda para hoy
Historia
• They actively participate in GEO Committees and tasks (e.g. Architecture and Data Committee and Capacity Building Committee). – We have to see how AEMet participation will be
redistributed in the new GEO structure.
EGIDA
The EGIDA Methodology consolidates the EGIDA project
experience for future use by defining a general
methodological approach which can be adopted by
national/regional S&T communities such as GEO Spain
GEOSS – Spain could combine:Regional/National Scenario: A
national project that aims to deploy a national/regional infrastructure for
GEO/GEOSS to generate.
National GEO Scenario: A central group that coordinates efforts on
capacity building at national/regional considering
relevant supranational and global initiatives.
• The 7th framework
program project
“Coordinating Earth
and Environmental
cross-disciplinary
projects to promote
GEOSS” (EGIDA) will
coordinate and
cooperate with national
agencies and existing
research projects and
will provide network
methodologies.
• CREAF is EGIDA
partner and will
facilitate the
implementation of the
EGIDA methodology in
Spain.

CREAF activities so far:
• Official Spanish representatives in GEOSS were contacted to explore the possibility of creating a permanent GEOSS-Spain network formed by both national administration bodies and relevant research initiatives.
• CREAF prepared a questionnaire based on 5 simple questions. – 14 interviews were done so far by phone to public,
private organizations and universities from 9 different European funded projects (EARLINETASOS, EuroSITES, ENVIROGRIDS, EuroGEOSS, ECOOP, GeoViQua, GFG2, HEREPLUS, and HERMIONE)
(National network for Earth Observation).– OGC Iberian an Latin-American Forum: ILAF– Infraestructura de datos espaciales de España
