Go Paddle
The shallow waters of Pine Island Sound offer paddlers the opportunity to explore and enjoy the natural environment and abundant wildlife surrounding Sanibel and Captiva Islands. Manatees, dolphins,
roseate spoonbills and soaring ospreys can all be seen up close on a kayak, canoe or paddle board. Stand up paddle boarding, one of the fastest growing sports, is also available on Sanibel and Captiva.
Paddling is for all ages and skill levels from novice to expert. Wildlife guides, instructors, and equipment delivery is all part of the paddling experience on the islands. Grab a paddle and start exploring!

Go Shelling
Sanibel and Captiva Islands, known as one of the best shelling beaches in the world. It is no wonder that we have such an incredible abundance and variety of shells.
If you don’t know the difference between a Lighting Whelk, Scal-lop, or Coquina...there are many shelling guides available to help you find some of the most sought after shells on our shores. If you are fortunate enough to find the greatly prized Junonia, tradition dictates you must have a photo taken of you and your shell for the local paper.
There are a variety of marinas which offer “shelling cruises” to nearby barrier islands. Sea shells are the perfect vacation souvenir.

Captiva Island
When people recall their trips to the beach, it usually brings a smile to their face and takes them back to a
happy place.
With a five mile stretch of beach, Captiva Island offers beachcombers the opportunity to create life-long memories of a vacation well spent.
Some of us like to sit on the beach, listen to the waves, feel the breeze in our hair and the sand between our toes...And to some, that is enough.
For others exploring Captiva’s many restaurants and unique shops provide a casual and relaxing time. Whatever your definition of play, fun, relaxation or inspiration is...Captiva Island is the place where memories are created.

My paintings are the whispers of the sea, the sand on my feet and the boundless blue skies.
My endless inspiration comes from walking the pristine sandy white beaches each with a story
to be told.
