About GEC Banswara
Government Engineering College Banswara is situated in Lodha behind Mayur Mill Banswara.It has 114 Bigha (45.65 Acres) Land. It has three branches in B. Tech (Civil Engineering,Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering) and each having 60 seats. We have appliedfor B.Tech (Computer) and M.Tech (Renewable Energy) for the session 2018-19. All thelaboratories are well equipped with latest research based equipment. It has 150 computers and100 computers are dedicated for online test to the students. All faculty rooms are facilitatedwith computer and internet facility of 10mbps lines. Approximate 11000 books are served tostudents/faculty and staff in central library of the institute. A rich library indicates the status ofan institute, to purchase good quality books recommended by students /faculty members a bookfair is regularly organised. Hostel facility is also available for residents. Our institute isregularly organised national workshop, national/ international conferences. Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and English & Humanities is jointly known asApplied science Department. Training & Placement
The placement office handles all aspects of campus placements for the graduatingstudents at GEC Banswara. The office is well equipped with excellent infra-structure tosupport every stage of the placement process. Arrangement for Pre-Placement Talks,interviews, Group Discussions etc. are all handled by the staff at the office. Thefollowing facilities are made available for the various activities: Four fully furnished AC interview rooms, ready round the clock and dedicated solely
for interview purpose only. Within a short notice additional rooms can be arranged ifthe requirement is more. Out of these, two rooms are big enough to conduct GD ifrequired.
A dedicated lecture hall with the seating capacity of 150, within the PTP office meantfor lecture or brief instruction session.
A seminar hall with a seating capacity of 150-200 students meant for delivering pre-placement talks (PPTs), equipped with PA system.
A multimedia PC, overhead LCD projector, computer speakers, computer lab withinternet facility, G.D. Room, etc. are available.
College can arrange for written test of 500 students at a time with its large exam halls.This limit can be extended to 700 by utilizing other halls. GEC Banswara is a majortest center and is a regular test centre of majority of Govt. sector’s major entrancetests.
Sufficient numbers of nodes (100 nodes) are available for online test in training
